I don't see any way to get the seal in with the clips in place.

The glass co that put a windshield in my old Rabbit didn't re-use them and it seemed to be fine.

I didnt mean put the seal in with clips in place. I just meant we used them earlier.

Kris's was special order material so they got a little extra for the pilars to match. You should be able to find automotive stuff at a fabric store for your A and B pilars though.

Looks even better now it's all coming together. Hope to see this in person one day.

catch can showed up from 42 draft designs. It looks stellar. its powdercoated to match the rest of the aluminum style powder coating.

Just need to get it plumbed. I'm going to get some oil dye to figure out where its leaking. everything is tight so I'm perplexed.

would have done it today, but was distracted

Doesnt look like you used plumbers tape on the threads.
That would cause it to leak eh.

Im 99% sure the oil leak is fixed. the fitting for the breather wasnt seated properly. Jes removed the carb and reseated it. She drove it a bit, and no sign of any issue with the oil dye. awesome! She also got the catch can all hooked up. I'd say right now the bay is about done. I'd like to get the plug wires made for the other cap, but thats whatever at the moment. After I sync the carbs....again....I'd say its ready for the body shop and a hood...

      No. We have to work.

Realizing the catch can top is a little blingy. Not sure what to do about it.

actually i have a novel solution. coat the outer surfaces with DRAIN-O.. it will eat away the surface of the aluminum and make it look like the engine cover.

or you could also just get it sand blasted. taht works too.
How does a rotary work? This one's easy: the magic triangle spins in the peanut and then apex seals come out.

I'll probably have it coated like the rest of the stuff is, but I'll sandblast it first perhaps. for now its fine. I just want her to be able to drive it. I need to raise it up a little bit. its way too low to drive anywhere other than where we live which has mostly nice roads.
