Usually in VW community "rare" means useless and worthless,"Uber rare" means extra ugly.

So companies in early '90s and late '80s produced product for VW,which never gained popularity,so they seize the production. Now you have a group of ppl found the pieces that nobody wants and calls them UBER COOL RARE EURO.Very over played and annoying, since the dumbest things have crazy value.
Please explain to me how a interior trim, like a centar consle can be worth $200,or a cup holder
Ive seen people selling RARE badges for $50-$100

Or you could just go to the dealer, where they're still available for about $20.

    From what I've seen:

Headlight levelling switch - rare in Canada
e-brake cupholder - rare in Canada
front cassette holder - *checks in garage, sees one* - kind of rare?
3 position fog light switch - rare in Canada
mudflaps - *has another look at sets in garage* - I don't know, kind of rare
lower front bumper spoiler - not rare at all in Canada. Of course, having an intact front bumper to go along with those pieces is VERY rare!

by front bumper lower fascia i meant the grille portion o the bumper; not the lip.
also how about a working rear ashtray light? the littlre one inside the rear area ashtray?
vw canada wants like some 100 dollars for that sucker...

for those who wanted to see a diesel passat...

in portugal were almost the total selling engines, with most of them being the 1.6td intercooled.
latest b3 before facelift fitted the 1.9td without intercooler, like mine was...

now its a little diferent and a BIT more powerfull

the variant 35i project is here on the forum

    I stand corrected!

Was in at the dealer this morning oredering up some mroe parts goodness, and had them check on the key. It is indeed obsoleter, and apparently no inventory left.

Factory B3 front bumper cover is obsolete, but there is still inventory out there. But at $622CDN, I'm not sure they'll be going anytime soon. Although I'm considering it.

Front bumper grille is $105 and the lower spoiler is $58/side. These items are not obsolete and are readily available. My dealer has several sets in stock. So they're pricey, but not rare.

you are contemplating the idea to pop 622 cad $ for a front bumper skin?
i picked up a running and driving 91 sedan 16v 5spds with ecodes; new satellite radio and blaupunkt stereo; fog lights new AND a 50 mm intake manifold for 600 and drove it home 2 hours away.
that car came with a mint front bumper grille....

let me know if you want hte grille.

I have a grille and lower spoilers. Thinking baout the bumper, but found a jobber one today for less than $180. I'll probably try that one out. If it works, awesome. If not, I'll go factory.

You have no idea how much the trashed front bumper annoys me!

On a side note, pill keys are readily available from TMTunig. For $90US! No key is worth that much. Glad I snagged one last summer when VW still sold them!

I'd get some stuffed wolves and buckle them up backwards and leave them there. I used to love sitting in the back of my mom's old e320 wagon backwards.

I wanted one of these B3 Votex front masks bad as fück when I had my B3.
AFAIK, IFlyGTI has the only one in the US, and pg1syncro used to have one in Canada.

    Here's pg1syncro's B3 for a good measure:

    Here goes:

The mask dont work with DE headlights though.
Well I mean it works, but youd be able to see the scres from the headligts, kinda sucks.

Door sills are probably the most rare piece for the Passat.
