Radio code help please!

I took my radio to a local dealer (Steven Creek Volkwagen) to retrive the radio code. They want to charge me $120 and they need to take the car in, so I refused.

Would anyone able to help me retreive my code? The # on the unit is: VWZ4Z7A6109936

Go to anothe dealership, remove the deck while you are there and they will get the code for you!

Hey man, can you help me? i bought a used head unit from a total 07 passat and i installed it in my 07 passat. it is stuck on SAFE 2. How do I get it out of safe and get a code to enter? any help?

I just bought an '06 Jetta from a used car dealer and he swears the (stock) radio had been working. I know the battery also died recently while sitting on the lot and has since been recharged and works fine. I've seen a lot of people saying a code needs to be entered but my screen is completely blank. It doesn't say SAFE or that there's an error or anything. What can I do?
