Alu body, miche parts, Phil 16tooth drive,

Gearing is 49/16 and I love it!

I think I PM'd you a while back; I've got a fillet-brazed Oria-tubed Vitali road bike, and a couple friends with Vitali track bikes. They were La Bicicletta's house brand a few years back, and I believe they still can be imported via Great Western.

Not exceptionally rare in Vancouver, but definitely less common than Campione Cycles' Cramerotti marque. Quality bikes for sure, on a par with Marinoni.

did a little to my fixie. took of most of the decals exept for 2, waterbottle holder, headlight holder, got some sweet covers for the front brake holders ( safety be damned ) and put on a white sofa looking bmx seat. the best part is that i actually got some descent riding time in.

i was looking at one of these at the bike shop when i was trying to get my rear gear...

    is it comfy?

  13. 02-01-2008 03:29 PM #188
haven't gotten much seat time with it. ran it on my bmx bike for a while and it was pretty comfy. but it's not a huge one. it's an oddesy aitken seat. http://www.odysseybmx.com/cata...age=1 is the link to it.

    the bikes current state:

Me and my Eddy Merckx when it was together.

Awaiting rebuild, still has 40's Titan steel stem and bars.

Originally it was a world champion points racer from Belgium Kristel Werckx, her name under the clearcoat.

Rode this bike from 2003-2005 as a messenger, it's raced on NYC streets (Monster Track CMWC 05) and DC streets, worked on Philly and SF streets. Also rode it with a full messenger bag from Philly to NYC for the worlds.
My Colnago Pista, rode this bike from 1992 till 2003 as a messenger in Philly, NYC, and DC and it's raced in Boston.

Typical track clearance, keep the front tire clean.

    Carbon Record Pista bottom bracket.

Full Pista Record grouppe minus rear hub. (I'll get back to that)
No paint left, all stickers and rust. Mavic TT bars which came back to me after selling them 7 years ago. I have 2 analog pics of it when I got it.
Someone on page two asked why these were so popular now. Not sure but it sucks, as a messenger all over the country for 13 years I never had anything stolen. A few months ago some ***** stole my record back wheel that I rode for 5 years from in front of my house. This hipster popularity sucks.

Time for a cam, and urban justice...

Sorry to hear you got ripped off.

Hopefully you have enough personal marks/scrapes on the stolen wheel, so you can take it back, if you ever see it again.

Like my friend Marc says, every Mark/dent has a story behind it.

What kind of single speed gear do you reccomend for a beginner cyclist. I know how to ride, just haven't rode for a very long time.

Yeah, it's got some dents and such and the name of my friend who built the wheel under the rim strip. But I's most likely long gone, dismantled. Oh well, hope I don't see it cause the outcome will be messy. My Colnago has a few dents and stuff, lots of stories with that bike.

yes, because the tube was between the bead of the tire and the rim. sometimes it blows out within seconds, hours, or even weeks... just depends on how far the tube is sticking out to begin with.

you didnt crash or anything because of this, right? front wheel blowouts suck hard
