ps this pic does the car no justice as it sits not with new intake mani....ic piping etc

And even though these aren't mkiv's, they are still 1.8t motors.

      I found some basic information.

It would be great if we could have Travy and Drew shed some insight.

Anything/Everything that gets posted, will be updated for viewing on the first page

I've seen alot of people painting their fluid bottles, I would definitely like to, is there anything I need to know before hand?
Like, special paints, or what NOT to paint, or not to paint something at all?

I thought about it a little..

Savwko did a complete DIY on how to Removing SAI, N249, PCV, EVAP.

      The Picture Follows like this:

If you take a good look at this picture..there is a significant amount of work done here. The engine does look much cleaner.

Now, Look up instructions on how to relocate the battery. This will yield a lot of room where the battery was. There is information on how to tuck the wires as well.

On the left side, if you want you can remove the wiper fluid. Its a BIG bottle. You dont necessarily need it. Since he removed all the emission stuff, he managed to remove the three balls from under the left fender. You can take the Freon Bottle and hide it there with some minor fabrication. Two noticeable things that are left are the are the i believe are fuse boxes in between the two fluid bottles, and above the intake filter. Those can be also tucked under the dash..This will results in a very clean engine bay..

I put in an external oil cooler today. Only thing left to do is really get the bay repainted. Slow work in progress.... And not exactly the smartest thing to do to a daily as reliability isn't exactly 100%. It's been fun messing around with it though

Quick mock-up before mounting the cooler itself

dang, that is a pretty good job. You could definitely polish the alternator and get a polished short ram pipe for the filter.

What all did you remove, and what did you relocate, and where did you put it?

Yeah, there's lot of little bits I still want to do at some point or another... Wiring is a pain, eventually I'll do a better job of tucking away where it comes thru the rain tray

Battery is in the trunk, power steering below the passenger side headlight, got rid of the stock fuel rail to clean things up, coolant reservoir deleted, most of the electrical has been run beneath the driver side frame rail and what not. That's the bulk of it... Everything is more or less still there, the only trick is finding ways to re-route things and tuck them away. I left the intake the way it is for the time-being 'cause the little heat shield beheind it kind of hides the ABS module.

I'll post up more things Ive done as they come to mind. Beers all day in the garage is messing with me right now
