I've been reading about how the evap system absorbs the fuel vapors, what happens when u delete the system in the front instead of relocating it?

Grab a MAPP torch. Hotter flame, the bottle is yellow. The heat will dry it out and it will chip off, still a process anyway you look at it.

agree with above statements. MAPP torch and don't be shy. i used a series of wire wheels and an angle grinder til it occurred to me to try a torch. much, much easier.

your car and your house/garage will smell like gas. it clears pretty quickly, but when you get in it after it's been closed for a few hours...it's pretty strong. thus far, the smell still clears out of mine. (2 years)

Thanks for the info. Re-ran the pass headlight, side marker and another connector through the wheel well. Much cleaner in the bay.

This is my little mess around project and i mean i have some stuff working, but i cant find any DIY on 2.0's... any one who knows anything, will you please PM me... i have all the parts i need to do battery relocate, coolant ball delete... but for example idk what to do with the 2 hoses that come off the coolant ball.... and there are the 2 fuel lines, evap line, and one other, but idk what that one other is, and if it can be deleted... it goes right into my itake manifold... any one please help
There are three lines that run beside the coolant ball. There is a coolant line that connects to a hard line bolted to your mani along with the fuel rail that connects to the main upper rad hose that can be deleted. Run a line straight from the coolant reservoir to that upper main rad hose. The second is a fuel line, obviously can't be deleted. Lastly the Evap line can be deleted with the sai, Evap and n249 delete, but IMO, if your a daily driver, the Evap does help with fuel mileage. Pm me if you have any more questions

Dude I won't lie, I saw the compressor fittings and went "Hmmmm I like that idea better than what I had planned". I am very lucky to have an amazing machinist as a friend so he actually mill tapped everything for me so I can run o-ring fittings and maintain a low stack. Here is the outcome. Also made a few other items. If you mill tap them you can get rid of the sealing tape, an adapter and then run o-ring AN fittings. No pics but he also machined SS bungs for my charge ports and most importantly the OEM trinary switch. NO aluminum in my A/C lines anymore . Can't wait to see your completed project BTW.

What gauge of wire is best for using for different parts of the bay? And single core/multicore?

Always use stranded wire. For wire gauge, use the same or one size bigger for whatever your lengthening.

Yup. If you have a scrap yard go strip a harness and use OEM. To save the headache I sourced a front-back R32 harness for my project. All wiring is OEM which I really enjoy.

Could not deal with the gross reservoir.

Don't mind the alloy lines and blue tee, this was just a test fab. Will do in SS with a black tee. Ordered a remote res that will sit behind the booster.

Bay is sooooo gross and dirty though

You build is simply superb. I liked it as a 1.8t but so much more now with the TDI. I have yet to see interior pics since the rebuild I am curious to what changes happened there.
