It should work. Generic autozone cap and have had 0 issues. Don't mind the mess in the middle of redoing my wire tuck.

niceee. that looks 1000 times better than a stock ALH bay. I hate all of the vacuum lines and other busy crap
I bet with some polished lines, remote fuel filter, clean routing for a front mount and a few other odds and ends it would be an amazing bay...
got the gears turning now lol![]()

Always enjoy photos of your bay swoops. Hands down my favorite.

the car will run fine, but you wont have no codes, your still going to throw the codes for improper flow on SAI, and also probably a EVAP code. The pump isnt there so it doesnt see the excess air pumped in on a cold start and the EVAP solenoid isnt there so it doesn't see the solenoid functioning thus throwing codes for it.
Software coding is the only way to be truly code free, as well as running the proper resistors since you still need to complete the circuit, this will keep your fuel trims. well at least on my 1.8t it does. not quite sure about the new motronic ECU's but im assuming its the same.
Heres a pic of my bay for the thread, it wont look like this for too much longer tho

Body Filler ????
What are you guys using? Just regular bondo, or something with fiberglass in it?? I also noticed many dont fill the body lines where the seam sealer wasWhat do you use for the seams, or is nothing used?
Where my progress ended last night(obviously still need more sanding)

I use rage gold after welding and working the metal as close as possible. then USC icing as the topcoat for finishing off before primer. if you are not welding the seams solid and getting rid of them, you need to re-seam seal them so moisture doesnt get in between the panels causing rust.
