Not enough room for a punch. You are right, my only option at this point is removing the clutch pedal or whole assembly. Getting the spring off the pedal is a nightmare. The Bentley makes it look so easy. LOL

I've got a pair of long nose vice grips that just can't get a hold of it and there's too many wires/plastics to weld a nut on the end of it.

This may end my days of the MK3. I love the look of the body and the interior, but working on them sucks.

Does anyone have the white clip (#21 in the picture, bottom left hand corner) laying around I can borrow/buy? I ordered one but it may take awhile to get here. It's a small white clip that holds the clutch pedal spring against the firewall.

I called Wallace VW, they didn't have it in stock. They said they could order it on Monday but I would have to fax over a credit card release form. They wouldn't take it via email, over the phone, or have a website that we can purchase parts from. PITA no matter what I did.

VW needs to enter the 21st century.

Wheels are full polished with flat black painted inserts, very minor curb rash, do not come with tires, and are missing 2 center caps (1 for spare, and 1 missing). Below is a picture of them on my car. Individual wheel pics will be sent through PM.

Master clutch cylinder in, new o-spring bushing in, just have to add some dot 4 and bleed it. I'm crossing my fingers it isn't a defective slave cylinder.
