Dude....I had a guitar many years back that looked JUST LIKE that one. Similar body shape, and even went airbrush crazy on it with a very similar stormy sky and lightning paint job.

Need to find pic. We're talking transfer photograph to digital. It was a Kramer Striker 500ST.

I know I've replied in this thread before, but I wanted to update:

1957 "Chicago Badged" Slingerland (silver) with:
-Pork Pie Big Black Bob Snare
    -14" Meinl Hats
    -21" Zildjian Sweet Ride
    -19" Meinl Crash
    -19" Sabian Paragon China(Not Pictured)

2008 DDrum ...something (it was given to me in payment, I like the tone):
    -14" Meinl Dry Hats
    -20" Zildjian K Ride
    -18" Zildjian Dark K Crash
    -Pearl Snare

I also just started working with a DW Rep on building my own Collector's set. I'm thinking something in Green Glass 24x20 kick, 13x9 rack, 14x14 floor, and 16x16 floor. Haven't decided on the wood yet, but I will be buying all Meinl cymbals for this kit.

Keeping thread alive. Okay, in the big group shot you'll see the sunburst hanging top center. That's the one I'm refurbishing. Not done yet but here is the project's current status.

Newest member of the family! Built from a Warmoth neck and body, pickups are Lollar Special T's. This thing sounds amazing... I can't wait to finish my 5E3 Deluxe to try it out!

the neck is a solid unfinished rosewood piece from Warmoth. It's their '59 roundback profile which is similar to the '59 Les Paul profile, it's a fairly thick round profile (0.860" at first fret and tapers up to 0.960" at the 12th). The fretboard is compound radius (10"-16") with stainless steel jumbo frets. body is your run of the mill Tele piece made from swamp ash and finished in surf green.

The mandolin is a Gibson from the early teens. Too bad grandpa decided to refinish it and fix the neck by putting a bolt through it.

In the process of a DIY project with my Yamaha kit. It will eventually be an e-drum going into a Mac Mini running a VST (currently is BFD2).

We are building our own little studio where we'll record our 2nd album later this year.
Just bought some cool pieces of gear.

A Metric Halo ULN-8 and Pro Tools 10 native running on our 8-core MacPro.
    A pair of Genelec 8050A.
    2 AKG 414, 2 EV RE-20, 2 AEA R84 ribbon mics, 1 Telefunken AK47, 2 SM-57, 2 Sennheiser MD421...

The preamps on the ULN-8 are really good, but next on our list is a lunchbox and some cool preamps, starting with the AMS NEVE 1073 module...

    I'll post pics soon!

I just picked up a Mackie ProFX12, 100' of cable, 90* ends, Shure rim clips and mic clips with the intent of doing something I have always wanted to do. I am going to build custom cables for each drum (length) and run my own mixer for just my kit. This will be great for gigs as I can set all my own sound and then just run one line out to the main board. I have mics (Audix D6 for bass and SM57's for everything else) so I just needed cables, clips and a board to finish it all up.

Also I picked up this beauty during GC's "Trade-in/Trade-up" sale over the weekend. Its a Zildjian K Custom Dark Complex Ride. The sound is amazing. Its exactly what I have been searching for over the past 10 years. I want to establish a dedicated jazzer setup and this ride is perfect. Good definition, plenty of wash, great bell and thin enough that you can see if flex during playing. Its awesome, plus after trading in a bunch of old crap it only cost $50!
