Hey from Eglin.

Went to a salvage yard today in Crestview that I've always loved. They had a complete perfect Rado G60, a handfull of mk2's and mk3's and a little 88 cabriolet with a few mods...errrr...a lot of mods

I knew the car back in the day when I lived in Panama City and have NO idea how it ended up a junkyard in the middle of nowhere but i do know that I bought it

Actually it was cheaper for me to buy it complete and take all I want. The body is kinda jacked up but I'm getting:
16V engine swap. 2.0 block/1.8 head/centerforce clutch/2y trans
Techtonics exhaust
Rocco brake upgrade(front and rear disc)
stainless steel brake lines
upgraded sway bars
strut tower bar and rear tower bar
jamex hood struts
some kind of aftermarket suspension
short shifter
blah blah blah.

So yeah...I'm happy

P.S. My 79 Rabbit L HAS TO GO. If you know any dubbers that are local...please let them know. It's not for sale to non dubbers.

This is the guy who had to register 4 cars just so he could keep them. That's hard core.

Well I found out why the cabby was in the junkyard because the police report was still in the car. MINOR front end collision. I gaurantee the car would have cranked up in the junkyard if it had a battery in it. I almost wanted to find one but I trust it was good. Hell it was only wrecked in in Sep 07.

As for the Rocco...it's worth more in parts to me than it is complete. Tell yah what...you let me take the engine/tranny/exhaust, seats(I'll put stock ones in), and a few other ones and I'll sell you the shell for cheap

Andrew - a hose popped when I was 10 mins from my home! I replaced the hose but now I have bubbles in the coolant and I saw a little coolant in the oil.

It's all good though...It got the ball rolling

I wish I had room I love that car. I used to have one exactly the same color and everything. Then I did a 1.8t swap and soon after joined the airforce and sold it to a friend. Hope someone buys it up.

Tiff won't be driving anything for a couple weeks after this weekend's ****-show. I almost broke her clutch foot and face.

We (Nate and I) went midnight skim boarding on Sunday night and I lost Tiff in the darkness and while I was spinning I ran into her backwards at full speed - I crushed her foot. On my way down I turned around to try to not fall on her and managed to elbow her in the eye. We spent from 11:30 until 5am in the hospital for the dr. to tell us neither her foot or her face were broken even though it looked like a baseball under her skin until the swelling spread out. I literally thought I snapped her foot in half.

I stopped by your squadron today but I guess you were on the line. I just wanted to say I hope Tiff is doing okay.

I'm just getting a feel for an event i'm thinking about planning.
Anyway it would take place over a weekend, (just Saturday and Sunday), down in Cecil (about 20 mins from valdosta) at the South Georgia Motorsports Park. On Saturday, Drag Racing at one of the best 1/4 mile tracks in Georgia, Saturday night, of course party. Sunday Autocross at the same location.

I was planning it out for Valdosta because that pretty much a central location between ATL, Jax, Gainesville, Tallahasse.

Anyway, what yall think?

We had a VW Event there a couple of years ago and everyone loved the track, just had a hard time to get people from around the area to come. We did plenty of advertising, but it just wasn't there.

We have talked about doing it again, since they have new track owners.

Are you thinking about asking if they would just allow the VWs to have their own little thing during one of the test and tune, or actually a full event?

Send me a PM and we can talk and maybe I can help out to bring both crowds.

the sleeziel is sold all. It's new owner is a good friend of mine in my shop so it won't be going far. The guy has never owned a VW and is only getting it for the gas mileage.

Attention Boys and Girls of Valdosta area. Aka the 4 people that post here . I beleive I will be soon making the plunge into All wheel drivedum. Talked to the guys at VWUnderground and I got a deal for a wrecked R32 for $3k. It will basically be a shell with all the parts I need for the swap into the 337. The only thing left partswise would be the Audi TT Quattro 1.8t 6-speed trans ( if anyone knows of one or a salvage yard in the area let me know) and some sort of Haldex stand alone unit. As far as I know this would be the only AWD 337 in the world. This project will be slow going at first but once I make my trip down to Orlando ( I think thats where they are located) its gonna be nothin but blood sweat and dubs. The official project/car name will be 337rs. More on this in the coming weeks. Have a nice day

And now for something completely different... I bought a 93 Corrado SLC this past weekend, I'm pretty psyched, though I'm TDY for the next month and can't drive it.
