So SoWo Pics? I take it everyone had a blast.
I hate to say it but I would totally do a year here in Korea. The country side is beautiful, theres elevation, plenty to do and at affordable prices.

    Rob/Jas,

Keep eyes/ears posted for tube benders. I know Im here, but when I return I want to get at cages/bumpers/suspension components...

Since A-10's are pulling out of Spangdahlem next year I am cancelling my assignment before that cancel it for me and send me back to this place. D-M here I come.

I shot 59/60 for qualification at CATM today... and apparently buy the new standards 98.3% won't get you a ribbon? The old standard was 84%.

Oh well... at least my AR is back in one piece with it's new rail.

Also, I might be selling my POS MK4 locally... If anyone wants a reliable beater let me know, or pass the word. 154kmi - rode hard and put away wet. Doesn't burn oil, doesn't smoke. New timing belt and some suspension bushings will be installed this weekend. New-ish tires. A/C blows ice cold. Super sweet Alpine deck with iPod connection.

    $12. But for you... $2000.

Speaking of boaters... we'll be in P.C. for the 1st week of July. A last little get away before we leave. Are you and Leslie going to be down there?

We would be interested in the Jetta , for the other son John......not like we don't have enough VWs!

Good to see all of y'all on 75 heading to SOWO! Wish we could have gone! Why does these VW weekends always clash! We had a great turnout in NC though and only had one mishap with tire on dolly on the way home with Golf on it. Yes we have another 95 Golf, but this one is my friends that we got to get going for him.

Got another tranny for my Golf the other week, being installed tomorrow. Yeah and the fluid had shavings all in it too!

Andrew this place aint so bad. It wears on you after a month or so. I just took up the gym as usual. Serious cannot wait to get home. I hate to say that. But Im already bored. One can only play so much forza to satisfy their car needs.

Im going this week to see about getting outta maint. If accepted I am going to have to pcs. But Im over that. Its time.

Matt Norf. They got your Hyundais here everywhere. Except they are 14gs new, 4wd and turbo diesel. Why they do not sell these in the states. Who know. Got a ride in one, they are torquey as all get out.

Saw an R32 vw and a skyline going at it last weekend, that was pretty awesome:thumb up: See has soon...

52 Days until I am out of here.

72 until I am in Korea.

You have a bike over there dude? I'm bringing my Felt and probably setting it up for commuting and buying a Santa Cruz all mountain rig.

I have a bike, but I don't have all the ppe to ride it :/ You will need, a helmet, a vest and lights on the front and rear. Make sure you buy it stateside. Its ridiculously overpriced here, and you cannot ship batteries over here.

To pass the time, I brought my kinect and bought a 32 lcd" from the bx. I work swings, so gym, school, xbox then work.

When you get here I know of a few trails, and I will rent a nice bike/ppe and we'll go tear the trails up. Its quite pretty up in the mountains.

    B, Check your thread.

Ordered some dual piston G60 calipers, all new rotors and a new hub for my jacked up on from when my axle ate it.

I saw 4 911's in Valdosta today. Since when do people in this town drive anything but a ****ty domestic with salt life and Browning stickers in the back window?

So who knew Raxles shop is in Gainesville? I'm in the market for a new passenger side axle for Kayla's B5 and I'm trying to avoid the junk axle game people seem to play by buying auto parts store axles.

^LOL @ salt life.. Lame to say the least.

I did Andrew. Owner is a good dude, too. Fellow aviator. Really stands behind his product. When I had the crazy popping noise after purchasing my axles, he assured me it was not his axles. Dang sure if he wasn't telling the truf...It was my stripped trans dogbonemount hole. I loved my Raxles (for the 5k I owned them;P) Too bad he cannot make custom o2a axles. He recommended a shop to me though, now thats good customer service.

P.S. If you decided to sell the wagon, lmk I will gladly buy it cash....serious!!!

I will be selling the wagon in a couple of months, but it'll be in NY when I do. I think it'll sell way fast up there since northerners drive foreign cars too and it's rust free. Once this axle is replaced it'll be ready for anything, except speed bumps.

I just saw that last night I'm in the market for both front axles to get replaced.

As of right now trying to figure out this noise my car is making. I'm thinking it is the driver side wheel bearing. Gotta figure it out ASAP. Don't want it to lock up and damage more.

I'm in disbelief that a modern wheel bearing can lock up unless the car is parked for years. It's been my experience you end up with this first:

I remember that phone call Andrew And word on the wagon.
Or for those of you that remember my corrado, end up SNAPPING an axle in two My 24v made the same God awful rubbing noise, and showed no signs of wear, play etc. It just let go, and nearly trashed my 4 hundred doll hair rotors.

Aftermarket wheels+vw wheel bearings= premature failure.

Nate - I got your message a few days ago. GREAT to hear your voice. Can't wait to have you back home.

We are probably going to sell the Audi. No idea when but it's going to happen for sure. Hopefully will find a diesel or small SUV to replace it.

Nothing wrong with it...just...well. I don't know. It's Leslie's rig so the decision is all up to her.

I am in the market for some aftermarket for the GTI, so the steelies would be available. Don't know how long from now that would be though.

Ordered from Raxles for the wagon. Overnight shipping(since we're so close), return shipping label for core, all new hardware, the 12 pt bit and axle nut socket (not that I need it), and a bombproof axle... $219. Talked to Marty on the phone this morning and he was super helpful.

We'll see what happens. For Sale

Did a little shopping today. Test drove a couple trucks. Trying to get a Tacoma 4x4, double cab, TRD or SR5 with tow package for >$30k. Valdosta Toyota quoted me $34k before taxes and whatnot. Needless to say I won't be buying from them. They would however do the SR5 with the tow package for $30k. Which is still about $2k high for my target with that package.
