Lol, for a little while I'm just gonna have to deal with it... to be honest with you, its kinda nice not scrubbing over speed bumps, so I may leave it. However, I wouldn't mind a LITTLE stiffer ride to use in autocross...... so we will see how this goes!

Richard, I agree on the stock ride height man, That GTI I am picking up (literally as the shipping company dropped the ball) is staying there also. Its nice not having to creep over all of valdostas stupid speed humps/ be able to drive over the top of road kill

so... i was told that i was approved and then the day before i was supposed to go pick up the car, the finance manager calls to say that i need a cosigner. there is no one in my family that is able to cosign... the only reason i need one is because i have only been at my job for 2 months. so... no CC.. I am so depressed its not even funny.

Sorry it didn't work out... I have had similar stuff like that happen in the past (one time taking off work and driving 4.5 hours for them to change their mind).

I don't especially like APR, so I would never go to one of their bbq's. Too corporate to care about the little man for my taste. I am more of a giac/uni kinda guy

Already thinking about uni for the gti in a few miles. Their dyno results on real, street driven cars and track record for customer service and reliability stick out to me far more than some flashy tribal stickers wraps and huge whp #'s claims.

Hmm, Interesting Nate... I didn't get that feel from APR, but I haven't been around VW very long. Melany and I took my 2010 Golf 2.5 up to them to be test fitted for the Carbonio intake and we were very impressed with their setup and how nice they were. They took us on a tour of the building and we got to see some preproduction stuff for the s8(I think) which was cool. Plus they run cars in the Continental and Rolex series and have always been pretty good to their fans.

I guess they are the largest tuner, and i could see your point, but all our experiences have been good with them so far... :shrug:

I have to agree with Nate. I spent mega bucks with APR for my first tune, got all the options; quick swap tune, stock, 93, 100, and valet lockout. I was happy with the tune over stock, but my distaste for them came when I called them back after making a few changes, they told me I would have to pay to have it retuned just to take off o2 sensor. I tried working with them to go BT, but they refused to work with me to upgrade my tune. They said they wouldn't/couldn't do anything if I wasn't running all their branded hardware.

APR has its place...for those whom money isn't an object, and just want to take a part off, and bolt a better one in its place. I had my own ideas of what my car needed, and what I wanted to do with it...so I needed a company who would say yes, all I got from APR was NO, you can't do that, or that, or that. It would have cost me $5500 in APR hardware and software alone to get close to what I have now with Uni for half the price. I was impressed from my first phone call, was transferred directly to a knowledgeable person with direct hands-on experience in developing their software who spent 30 mins listening to what I already had on my car, and where I wanted to go with it, with the hardware I already had, and then customized the exact software I would need to get the numbers I wanted.

Wow, been outta it. Quite literally. Body was still on korera time, and in processing for me has been, hectic to say the least.

Prime example why active duty sucks.. first few people in processing line go through no problem. Me, everything gets gone through with a fine tooth comb, I get turned away for missing items that the previous people clearly did not have..but alas, I am used to it at this point haha...

And richard, exactly what Matt Norf said. I called them with questions regarding some of their files. If you are not a bolt on king, then you cannot have apr. Hence too corporate for me, not to mention the representative seemed a bit annoyed.
And there are PLENTY of bad reviews from them on the 2.0t both fsi/tfsi forum even with all APR hardware.
Meat and potatoes forum. Not just the emmmmkay6 threads I has 380whp from a flash tune. But legitness. And in the roll call, you are with people that eat/sleep/breath vw so there is going to be real transparent info, not just whats appealing info. Nuff of that horse

Nope. Not tinkering or buying anything. Actually I am potentially moving in 4 months, out of state and have already began the purging of things. I accepted a job in N.C. and have began the "palace chase" process. Lots of paperwork and what not but I know it will be worth it in the end.

Im headed out of town tomorrow and staying gone until I leave more than likely. I have to burn up my leave before 14 Jan.

For the record...my brother works at a MASSIVE dealership down in FL and can get some pretty sweet deals on cars. He just helped Justin Welty(of VW Fixx and Fixxfest fame) get a new jetta for thousands under invoice.

I know where we are going when Leslie gets a new TDI.
