Damn...do you have a big screen TV as a monitor? That pic is HUGE!
Anyway...my guess is that that's a rear bearing race for a stub axle but I'm not 100% sure.
Looks like you started to cut it to get it off

good meetin you tonight Andrew. You're definitely a certifiable VW nut. We just gotta find you a good mk2 or an e30 maybe. I'd like to help on a BMW as I've never done one.
My windshield wipers decided to be inop on the way home so that was fun
Next time I roll up there I'll drag out the mk2 for ya

nice meeting you also Jason.
I ran into that other guy - Cameron I think his name was on base 2x today.
We'll keep an eye out for the mk2 or e30.
Nate's bringing his mk4 VR6 next week even though it's stock. He's hooked I think now.

So guys, need to ask a question..... should I just keep my 92 MK2 Jetta and just fix everything and make it look and drive top notch or get me an MK4 Jetta?
Anyone knows who's Golf that is sitting at the Auto Zone by the bank? Been sitting there awhile. Need to find something for one of our kids that will be driving soon.

Kathy - about your Jetta. I vote to keep it. Mk2s are cheap to get parts, easy to work on and will last forever. mk2's really make great daily drivers.
As for the white mk2 4 door at Autozone....I've left my phone number on the car and with the employees of autozone. I haven't got a phone call yet but I'm hoping to pick it up or atleast someone in the local dub community.
I don't know of any other cars currently. I have a 79 with a blown engine and rust. Don't think many 16 y/os would find it "cool"

I thought an 86 Wolsburg with mismatched driver side doors was the cat's ass when I was 16.
So who is in for Saturday night?

What time do you all meet on Sat night?
As for the Golf, Husband glanced at it one day and said it was an automatic. So that is a no go in this house. Since he worked at Davis Import on Bemiss for quite awhile, he doesn't care for the Autos! LOL
Well we are planning to keep the Jetta. Got to get the Heater Core in it so I can have heat!

Good luck with that, I would rather do a clutch than a heater core.
We meet at 10pm @ AutoZone near the intersection of Bemiss and Inner Perimeter.

I might leave my turbo at home too... 20v screaming straight out the exhaust manifold!
I'm heading over to Autozone in a bit. Hope some people actually come out tonight in the rain.

Do you mean a gear puller or are you trying to install the bearing?
You can rent gear pullers from Advance for the price of buying it and get your loot back the same day.

Jason, you missed out on some SWEET FWD Nissan drifting after you left last week! (followed by some crub smashing)

Brizower - I meant the bearing puller it is a vw specific tool so i can assume that a regular parts store will not have it. I went to Davis Imports today to see if they had one but they were at lunch or something.
Anyone getting together tonight or this weekend in general post up when and where, I am new here so show some love.

spotted wulfpack again on base I think... the europlate makes sense now.
The parts guy at Pipkin VW seemed decent when I went for wire connectors last Monday, maybe they have one on hand.

thundercats HOOOOOOOOOOO!

99.9% sure Nate's not rocking the VR6- he's stuck with the Jeep for a while. We're looking for a new ride for him.
I got Jeff's new phone # so I will call and harass him until he shows up. Matt can probably com out the following weekend too, either in that Subaru Legacy GT or the 04 GLI (either way he's driving something cool).

I found a 95 Jetta xflow in Jacksonville with 49,000 miles on it... one of us might jump on that. Yeah it's a mk3, but it's almost 13 years old with 50kmi... lysholm.
