That's okay, we hate you too. Your lowness makes us jealous.

You ain't thinking very creatively. Think about ways you could pimp out your house brothers.

Lafayette is full of lonely folks, I bet if you "sold it on the weekend" you'd make, what, $20 a month?

I still think you oughta pick up that Fox wagon we found as a beater / keg hauler / problem maker / pimp wagon. All you'd need is a cane and a sharkskin suit and you're in business

Ben and Wes - I'm shy, I kept my "lovin" on the inside of the R32...

As soon as we can find someone with a bus to join the club and be the designated driver.

Gotta love that Quervo Dark - tastes like good whiskey but kicks like mescal should. Plus, three shots of that puts me in the same place that 12 cups of that colored weak sause keg krap - I like to get there quick

Dennis and his son Jake came down this weekend to collect some parts, and I told him about your little "incident". Dennis wasn't too suprised - he told me the exhaust on that car is pretty much a straight pipe with a gutted diesel silencer. Doesn't sound like it would be too hard to stick a Borla in there to stop the man's interest in your new ride

They just got a VR6 Eurovan up at DieselTrux (place on Coliseum). We could cram at least 10 in that bad boy

Well hello folks. I'm marks buddy from terre haute. Know mark for a LONG time. Wish i would have stumbled into this area earlier, but if the passenger side fender flare down to the side skirt of marks car is still around I could use it to repair my own C. I plan on making it up too a gtg or two this year. Would enjoy making it to a big cookout if you guys plan on having any. I'd like to add theres a small VW group I hang out with here in the haute also. We don't have a name just a couple friends including...ECS tunings old mk4 jetta shop car, a mk2 gti VRT, and a B6 audi a4 hammered on some gallardo wheels, and a couple mk1s here and there.

definitely try to come up for some meets and bring some folks with you. i would love to have a couple on a saturday and have a cookout and whatnot. we always have a good time and it's a great mix of people and cars.

and from what i gather, a bunch of drunks too

yea, but let's hold off on the cookouts until it's at least 50 degrees outside. There's nothing quite like a group of drunks huddled around the grille trying to stay warm

I think Byler's still got that flare piece - he's been a bit reluctant to get rid of any of his "security blanket" yet. He mostly just sits by the pile of Corrado parts and sobs quietly to himself. It's truly a sad sight.

Wes - we can get 4 more people on that Eurovan by bungie-cording them to the roof

when he stops sobbing, yank that spoiler module!

mine still only goes up with the switch now. not down, or with speed anymore. replaced the switch, swapped motor guts with a good one - with good sensors, and checked wiring. guessing its the module then, but it looked alright and nothing broke, cut, or burnt.

    welcome to the layer cake

I just got back from the eastern hills of kentucky. 45* and more twisty roads than you can shake a stick at. I spent the majority of the trip looking out my side windows and snug up against the bolsters of my seat. Have you ever heard what a vr6 sounds like in a valley(or if you will a "holler")? Definatley a good time and I'm going to have to take my rabbit down there!

I will call you this weekend.

I guess I should show everyone what the Corrado used to look like. Let me dig up a pic.

Byler.... the Rado' looks SOOPER clean!

  31. 01-25-2008 12:57 AM #136
Yo! The usual bro, been freezing lately unfortunately. Ya the C was a severely clean car. From the looks of it the jetta the motors going into is clean too. The picture I saw looked like the engine bay was EXTREMELY clean. Just glad your still in the vagen scene. You doing all that work has drug me back too so...2 birds one stone. A lil video from 2 weeks ago...you'll have to excuse the quality it's from a cell phone. http://media.putfile.com/Rado Will definitely make it up there at least once this year for something. Get my C on the road with this tax money and see whats gonna break once it's moving and get all the bugs sorted out. My wrenches turn with love though.

I may have to drive down to Florida for a few weeks until the temps get back to 50's. This weather is depressing, nothing to work on and I cant bolt the fun stuff on until it gets warm again.

for not being able to get stuff done before i start work/school

Yea, that's the one I was looking for! That shell looked great from the top, but was SOOOOOO rusty underneath. Ah well, it gave up it's parts so that other more worthy MK2 cars could live
