So I tried the search several times, not much help. My question is, is montana green a rare color? I know the 16v is more rare than the 8v, but how rare are they really?

    Thanks!

yes...rare, but don't confuse teal with montana. Sometimes I think people who have the teal think it's montana.

I know the difference between the two.

Reason why I am asking is cause I just bought a 92 Montana Green GTI all original, 8v.

Rare..no, maybe just "not as common" ?

it's monty, it's just the lighting that gives the teal effect

Least common color for the 90-92 gti, but not 'rare.'

Monty is just uncommon, not particularly "rare". It's desireable, so that makes it seem rare. How many people go looking for Teal? Also, it was available in '91 and '92.

    Montana

Teal (also known as Capri Green)

Kinda hard to mix them up.

Yes it is, but when you're poking fun at someone just for the halibut you can PS it enough to make people think that it might be teal.

BTW, the teal in your second picture looks awfully dark.....

No Jettas, but the teal color came on jettas. Like people have said, it can get confused.

This is teal, people always mistake it for montana for some odd ass reason. I guess it's the light?

Here's another close color, Mondza Blue. 1988 Golf GTs and maybe 1988 GLIs in Canada too, not exactly sure. A bit more blue.
