    anyone wanna give me insight on unlocking a sidekick 2. I have a cingular SIM card and when i put it in, i need to enter an unlock code. . . to activate the SIM i assume.

    So ive been searching the Internet and it seems i have to call Tmobile with the IMEI number and pay to get them to get me the code to allow the phone to read the chip. . .

    has anyone had any experience with this? or some insight for me. .

    i need a SIM UNLOCK code, and they are telling me that they "dont unlock sidekicks because its a TMobile ONLY phone", cause its manufactured by tmobile or whatever, and its not a nokia or a samsung that are sim ready and free to do as you please. . .

    anyone know a work around ..

    Go punch yourself in the temple a few times. It's a more pleasant experience than owning a SK2. Seriously, that's a phone I would never touch without a warranty, having had to warranty exchange a half-dozen of them over an 18-month period.

    Sidekick is garbage, cingular was way better options for phones. But if you want to impress highschool girls with your sidekick then go to Tmobile and their sidekick plan

    cingular way better options? not so true. plans are worse. if they could beat 1000 min for 40$ bones, im game...

    LOL... That went off topic real quick.. My sistr wanted one.. I have an iPhone.. I'm not a sidekick fan at all..

    I called tmobile to see if I could get an unlock sim code but they said no, which I assumed they were going to do.. So I'm going to resell it oj ebay and give her my old slvr l7.. Just need a batter for it I think..

    better options as far as handsets go, not plans.
