Anyone have exact dimensions on RS bolts?
    I'm talking:
    Full length
    Length of non-threaded section
    Length of threaded section
diameter of shaft (or thread pitch #)

    Thanks,
    -Dave

I believe the bolts are M8's though. 8x1.0 IIRC

    http://www.titanium-touch.de/f....html

TBH, i'm not 100% on my metric bolt designations or allowable variances, so i can't argue much other than to offer a pic of the digital calipers (zero'd) i used, along with the BBS bolt (marked "BBS 10.9") that i removed from a 17" x 9 RS 300.

BBS refers to the company and 10.9 refers to the bolt strength, for what its worth.

I didn't get a chance to pull a set of bolts out and measure them, but according to what you posted and going off of pertsche has, i would say its likely an M8. I know the head is an 8mm 12point and the nut is a 10mm 12point. Going from the other BBS thread in the mk2 forum, they seemed quite confident its an M8x1.0

right, the 10.9 is the "grade" of the bolt. i just wanted to show that they are BBS bolts. and as for the size, i'm almost 100% sure they are M7's. if you notice on t-t.de's site (main page for wheel bolts), they list a bunch of M7's in varying sizes and flavors, but only offer a few in M8. not to mention, while i can expect a slight variance in the bolt tolerances and my calipers calibration, i doubt there would be a full MM in variance lost. my bet is on the M7.

Hofmanm sells them as m7 32's, so i guess m7's it is? I'll see if i can get a 7mm socket over one tomorrow

They're M7x1 (7mm thread, 1mm pitch). RS/RF bolts are 32mm long (along with almost all the other 3pc), RM bolts are 24mm long.

The head is an 8mm 12pt but that has nothing to do with the 'size' of the bolt.

Hi guys, I am having trouble finding out the history and name of these wheels. Lots of searching with no luck, until I found this thread. I hope that you can help.

They measure 13x6 with 4x100 stud pattern.

Any information on them is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    JP

BBS RA 214 (Gold center, Silver center is RA 114)
    15x6 ET13
Optional wheels on BMW E21 320
I bought them from a guy that owned them since purchasing his 1978 320i new

The Cabrio they are on with 195/45-15.
Fitment required shaving down the outer surface of the calipers for spoke clearance.

well i followed all the re-assemble instructions to the t. and had problems with 2 of them. 2 of them the tires are mounted and holding air just fine. The other 2 when we got to about 40 pounds of pressure on the machine it starting like through the crack where the face meets the lip, guess i need to find a stronger silicon? I know there were no holes i did 3 layers in 24 hour intervals. And double checked all the torque specs
Suspension installation or other mods for reasonable prices, PM me or Email @ threeztt180@hotmail.com
