Brenda Priddy and her quick lens caught the first photos of the rebadged Dodge Caravan that is the 2009 Volkswagen Routan Minivan. As you can tell from the photo, it does carry a lot from the current lineup of Chrysler minivans (though, with something else going on out front and in back). If you look at the back, you can see the taillights have a sort of curvature reminiscent of the current Passat/Jetta, unless that's an optical illusion. Exciting stuff. We can't wait to see it in full at the Chicago Auto Show.
Look lady, if I were you, I would just leap in the air as I am preparing to do.

Still can't see anything. The new Town and Country doesn't look all that big.

What reason is there to buy this over a Chrysler badged model? TDI? Thats about it and if VW offers that it will be a huge success.

It's still a Chrysler But Holy Huge school Bus batman.
Many people enjoy eating apples and oranges, but in the end they are still… just apples and oranges. The R32 is passion fruit. . Live Long and Prosper.

And hopefully those attributes will be thoroughly VW. They sell a diesel Caravan in Europe, so I don't see why they couldn't in the US if they wanted to.

What wrong with the Touran? Or the regular old VW bus. Why does crysler have to make something for VW that VW already has and does well. Very stupid IMO. Should of just brough over the Touran.

Vehicles such as the Touran don't sell in the US. Case in point, Mazda 5 sales.

Those trannies haven't even been a problem since the generation before this previous one. Before 2001.

Why even camo it? Why not just put Dodge Caravan badges all over it and drive it around in broad daylight?

Because it debuts in several days. Why blow a release with just days left?

Easier to slap a new interior and front fascia on an already-federalized car than it is to federalize a car that has not been federalized to this point.

Its CAMO guys. They purposely square out the back end to attempt to hide its real body lines. People still haven't figured this out?

With it's boxier look and slab sides it does look alot bigger but not by much. I'll take a picture tomorrow of them side by side.

Wait, what looks huge? The amount of possible pending Fail or the size of the upcoming VW Routan?

Amazing, besides that small low quality picture of the rear end, this is the most I've seen of this thing yet. They've been very good at keeping it under wraps.
