Over 30 classes including both Air-Cooled and Water-Cooled VW's with the BEST trophies in Texas. Düb Splash 2012 is being held at the 1950's Vintage Sandy Lake Amusement Park in Carrollton Texas. Sandy Lake Amusement Park is the perfect venue for a hot summer car show with lots of shade, swimming in the wave pools, paddle boats, and tons of vintage rides. Düb Splash is sure to provide cheap summer entertainment for the entire family!!


Vehicle Registration is FREE to ALL vehicles Preregistered by June 15th. Just click the REGISTRATION link and get signed up! Preregistration after June 15th is $10. Registration at the show is $15. The park charges $2 per person admission to enter the gates.

May not make this weekends car shot at church of the open door. Next months show is right around the dead line....
So ready to get it out of the garage.
Still up in the air about selling or keeping the 5 lug swap. Somebody should make me an offer.

One side at a time. When I let it down I put 2x4 under the front tires and barely got the jack out. It's a low profile jack

It won't goto the subframe on any of my cars. Maybe the Audi. I can hit the subframe from the side of the mk2 but it's a little sketchy.
Mk2 is ready to come out of the garage. Mk3 is in the way and needs to go !!

With the vr6 swap coming to an end I'm left with a lot of 16v parts and I'm thinking. Geez that 16v intake would look awesome on the Wolfsburg.
2.0 bottom end....
16v head and intake...
Stock digi 2 injection with a chip.
Keep it automatic and ac working would make for a great daily.

HELL YES. I finally got around to repaining my grill.. and the paint actually looks exactly like my car this time. I'm excited to buff it and get it looking pretty. The pearl came out great, and the shade is damn near exact.

Hoping it still looks like that once its on the car LOL

Getting the mk3 donor ready to goto scrap yard.

Have Decided the compressor and ps pump is going bye bye.

One damn nut is giving me the blues. The pass side tie rod end nut. I tryed to remove them in the beginning but they would not come off. Today I was able to tighten the drivers side back down but the pass side no good.

My hack saw blade was at status butter knife so.... I'll get it off and replace with one from the mk3. As soon as that is done a test drive may be in order.

I also noticed the transmission is touching the "eurosport" k frame brace. I must remove or... Raise the rear mount back up and wonder of the engine will smack the hood on down shift.

My speedometer quit working and the gas gauge drops to empty every few minutes.. Everythimg else works fine.. Whats the problem!?

I think that your fuel is vaporizing then returning to liquid form every couple of minutes. Its normal for this time of year. Or it could be a bad connection some where.

Well $106 later I have my dog back. Yesterday he dug under the fence and the dog catcher caught him. He does this all the time and my neighbors love him.
