Saw a MkIV GTI w/ Texas Plates and some strange after market Tail lights headed north on Veteran's about 6 pm.

I'm so excited for this GTG though. I'm going to have to scout out some back country roads and maybe we can make it a GTG/Cruise....

On another note, glad I have front wheel drive. This snow and lack of salt is miserable. And I am bout ready to ship out my switches and get the LED's converted to red. They'll go nicely with my new DDI gauges.

Hey guys... I don't live in C/U anymore, but I'm down there most weekends. First week in March I'll be in town stripping down what's left of my old GLI. Looks like Dumpy is getting some diffent parts. Possibly swapping it back to a gasser so I can rebuild the TDI. I'm feeling the urge leave large clouds of soot and most cars in my wake.

Here's what happened to the GLI Chalm, you may remember this car:

I don't know about the car, but I can think of a ceiling or two that needs taping and finishing. I'll bring over the propane heater and we can do the taping in the AM and work on the car in the PM.

Sorry, mistaken identity. I put a set of coilovers and did a timing belt job on Paul's GLI. I used to drive that car between C/U, B/N, and Peoria alot. Perhaps you saw me on the road, or if you've been to Sud's in Pekin I used to buy parts there.
