    Thread: mk3 door handle

      if anyone has done an install on their own mk2 could you please post pictures of the install and what tools you used. (looking to install mk3 door handles on my car.)

      They don't fit.

      I've seen the swap done before so i already know that they can fit i just need some instruction on how to perform the swap

      What you have seen is Chinese MK2, "MK3 style" door handles installed.

      so go buy some mk3 handles like the guy whose car you've seen them on, and try to do it yourself. i'm sure with some patience, fab skills, and some time, you can get them to work too. good luck tiger!

      Knappy's right, they're from the chinese golf and it's pie man. Tools needed:flat head and phillips screw drivers.

      they can need a little fiddling to get them perfect, tip for you, leave the door card off for a week after you fit, some people have had them fail after a little while due to the adjustment not being quite 100% and are left with a door thats stuck shut!

      yea chinese door handles. i had them on my last mk2. liked them. gotta shim em to get a perfect fit. every door/ handle fit a little different, but better than stock trigger style IMO..
