I'm not trying to rain on your parade, tge C&Cs ive been to have been nothing short of awesome, but people start arriving on campus as early as Thursday to get a good spot for their campers and tailgate spots. If these guys are going to either school that day, they're not coming to C&C, especially if the game starts at 11am. You have to remember, Alabama doesn't have pro sports, AU/UA games are it.

Yes -- I see what you mean now, and you bring up a good point. But I guess those people will be tailgating in Tuscaloosa or Auburn then. (I for one like SEC football, but primarily prefer watching it from the comfort of my own home.)

That's not me, but yes -- we're aware of that meet.
The thing is, the Crestwood Coffee meet is only the 3rd Saturday of every month and it starts at 10. The Cars & Coffee meet that that we're establishing is every Saturday and it's earlier. So what I'd envision is that those that are seriously interested would attend the earlier meet and then we could all cruise over to the later one. Cruises are always fun

I'm sure I'm not the only one in this boat but just speaking for myself I think it would be better if the meet wasn't every week. Or if you do decide to have a weekly meet I think you should designate one "main" meet per month. I'd love to drive up and hang out with you guys but for those of us that are 1.5hr+ away I'd rather not have to risk driving up for a small turn out. Due to the weekly nature of the meet to me it seems people -mostly non local but im sure some locals as well- would be more inclined to show up to the meet with the highest turnout. If I'm going to be waking up at 5:30 on a Saturday I'd like to have a good reason

So if we had a "main" meet each month then I feel like we'd be treading into the territory of the Crestwood Coffee meet, which I really don't want to do.
Nonetheless, if someone's traveling a decent distance to make the meet, then I'd probably recommend the 3rd Saturday of the month so as to make it the most efficient use of your time...

So like I said, one thing I'd envision is using the Birmingham Cars & Coffee meet as a platform for cruises to other events, etc. So for example, Grambles stated on a different forum that the APR bbq is on Saturday, Oct 13th -- we could have B'ham C&C as the meeting spot then all cruise down to Auburn.
What do y'all think? (@ Redapex - I see you're already in Auburn though...)
