Thread: Craziest tire size on a production car?

    1. 03-02-2008 09:53 PM #1
      I see 345/35 on this XJ220:

Any other examples of extreme tire sizes?

      Here's a crazy tire size. 245's on a 400 hp car.

      -Triumph, the Insult Comic Dog

I saw this in a movie about a bus that had to speed around the city, keeping its speed over fifty, and if its speed dropped, the bus would explode! I think it was called, "The Bus That Couldn't Slow Down."

Didnt the original Countach have 355's or 365's IIRC?

Veyron has 365s in the rear. They are the widest production tires ever apparently.

My dad has 205/60R13... that's a pretty weird tire size.

      title didn't say "widest" tire

How about the last generation BMW X5 4.8is?

Factory rear 315/35/20....RIDICULOUS for an SUV, I remember car and driver once said it looks like "an X5 sat on a Viper" from the rear.

BMW 635csi 415mm metric wheels/tires. Do they even make replacements for these anymore?

Some could say that a metric wheel makes sense though. WHo thought up inches for wheels, but mm for tires?

And they're specially made for that car as well.

      Gotta pay to play.

The Countach pic just shows how much cars have grown. Those 345s looks incomparably wider than the Enzo's 345s

And that Citroen doesn't look safe, like it would be riding the sidewalls constantly

Yeah, but the 2CV is basically an enclosed, 4 wheel scooter anyway, so it is sensible in that respect.
