    so what are your plans?

paint, round head light conversion like everyone else?

    dropped on bbs's?

or just keep it stock with the new motor?

um im sorry, i hope he does do what he wants...

i was just curious what HIS plans are... if you ask me what my plans are i would tell ya... dont think u would expect a smart ass remark...

it looks like he is just going to keep it stock with a new motor, which would i think be the best idea, he didnt say what his plans are so i was curious.

I agree...but a few years ago, most people didn't give 2 shakes of a crap towel about a TDI-mk1 swap. It's lots of fun, trust me. Unless you slam it on some 13/14" vortex-approved wheels and make it undriveable, be prepared for the usual -" you didn't put eleventy billion horsepower in the car?" and " would be a nice car with a 1.8T/2.0T/anything other than what you did" and "sure would look good with the right wheels" comments. At least thats what I got....good luck, though, a mk4 swap is no joke in the difficulty dept. Make sure you look up the Mr.Dave swap for a reference.

    Your internet stance club sucks.

That's because this forum has become a high school cafeteria scene full of hipster scum and bogus attitudes lately. If you're not jerking the right people off, forget about it.

Back on topic, the project is looking great, keep it up! Those TDI swaps look intimidating to me

LOL....It's about the same amount of work as a 1.8t swap. The DBW (drive by wire) is a lot more easy to accomplish than most people think. If you have the motor mounts, the rest is not that tough. The wiring harness for the MK4 is more complex than the mk3/b4 stuff, but the mk3 won't make as much power out of the box. (turbo mk4=vnt, mk3=not vnt) If you can handle the wiring, the mk4 swap ain't that bad. Early mk4's were non-immo as well, making the swap easier. Late ones will require the immobilizer, but there are (legal) ways around that, too.

    Your internet stance club sucks.
