this happened to me the one time I had someone else change my oil. After about an hour of trying to get it off with my hands, oil filter wrench and housing cup, I pulled out a big pair of channel locks and it came right off with ease

Modded my ContourHD cam to accept a 1/4" audio connection. Now I can use a decent microphone AND place it anywhere I want around the car instead of videos being all wind noise.

Adjusted the coilovers. Went down A 1/4 inch in the front, 1/2 inch in the right rear, and 3/4 of an inch in the left rear. Should put me at 24ftg in thw front and 24 1/4 in the rear with the 19's on

My Res Delete is a pushing my volume tolerance, I may put my Res back in as well. I thought it was awesome for the 1st two days now i am questionable. I noticed for some reason there is a big variation of the Res delete volume among different MK5's.

Took it for a drive through the city, country, and up the mountains. As crazy as Pennsylvania is, we have such a diverse terrain.

I actually need to order two myself... turns out, my alignment is effed. 6000 miles on these V12 evos and the fronts are at 1/32 and 3/32.

Edit: Picked up two Hankook Ventus V4 ES H105.

I had my MU replaced under extended warranty at ~90k miles. Right now, the car is at 114k. My case is the first case they have ever seen like this. The oil pump inside the DSG started to fail. Because of that, the wet side wasnt getting lubed properly and eventually something inside broke off and now there is metal all through the trans and gears. It wouldnt go into gear, the car acted as if i were holding the clutch in. When putting it from drive to park, it would grind. I never even got any flashing PRNDS like i did when my MU went out.

I've babied the car with maintenance. All DSG fluid changes were on point, and I never drove it like an idiot...however, the car has seen about 10 track days. Just for reference, my cam followers usually last for almost 40k, while others seem to change every 15-20k.

DSGs are known for dying because of two things: clutch packs and mechatronic units. This is the first time it's been castostrophic trans failure do to internal oil pump. It makes me suspect foul play when they redid my MU (because they also redo the filter and dsg oil) about 25k miles ago.

Only 6,000 miles? My alignments probably messed up a little bit too, (been more then 2 years since alignment has been done ) but im waiting to get the coils then do the alignment.

And Sweet! its my first set so we will see how they go.

My biggest gripe about the v12's is traction and road noise. Then again, they're stretched.
