Thread: What did you do to your MkV today?

    1. 09-16-2014 09:49 PM #34511
Today I installed my s3 intercooler with awe hoses on my gti. Hoping to turn up the boost soon once I get tuned to stage 2!
One problem though. Anyone know why the awe hose on the turbo outlet pipe doesn't fit right? Or does anyone know an easy fix?

That's funny because today I installed my s3 intercooler with awe hoses on my gti. Hoping to turn up the boost soon once I get tuned to stage 2!

not making fun of you, just the idiot that decided to copy your post. in response to your problem i would suggest contacting awe or the maker of the intercooler and see if they have any information for you.

Time ago I bought the Osir's shift boot as well, did like it pretty much unless the red stitches don't match the OEM ones, so I had to re-stitch it again!
Thanks, and i didn't even notice if it matches or not, but it looks much better the oem

i personally like the look of the matte on gloss...plus it's hard enough to find white dip around here....almost impossible to get glossifier(and im not about to buy it online
the that annoys me however, is that it's a different shade of white..but then again the wheels are a 3rd shade(rustoleum 2-in-1 gloss white)...

but it's hard to notice the difference when you're 15ft away(and when the car is dirty)...you can only REALLY tell when you're up close a ft or 2...
but honestly im ok with it...i'm probably selling the car in spring anyway...

one thing i do hate tho...
just had the bumper touched up and the guy didn't blend it well...so the fender and bumper look like totally different whites on the right front...
o well...hope it fades in over time..

Hey guys. Quick question. Anyone remember what that thread was called to order parts from a vw parts rep? Need a mech unit and was hoping to get a better deal than the original price.

      Thanks.

I don't recall but it was something like "Ask your VW Guy" or something like that.

Installed my Carbonio CAI today Love the sound! I initially didn't think it would sound much at all so it was a great surprise. Feels a bit faster too.

      Le intake:

Surprise pile of leaves and dirt from the wheel well...

That bottom air hose was a pain in the *$$ to connect. That's what took me the longest tbh...besides that, it's a pretty straightforward install.

All done (engine needs some cleaning though)

Got bored after work and painted my grille shield to color match again. Came out shiny.

Nice! I've been wanting to do this as badgless on my Rabbit, but haven't yet. I like the way the Jetta grille gives a relief to it, but in color matching looks spot on.
