HIDs, BG, AFR, are in, GTI front is painted and ready to be installed. Just need the boost controller, bumpers, and taillights installed and wait for software.

i've been doing them for a year here at our shop and I've never used vagcom or odis for that matter...nor have seen anybody here do it

you're supposed to according to the manual, but it's really not necessary...
also you don't NEED a machine but it does makes it easier...

at our shop we have a modified weed sprayer as our "machine"...
the gun has been removed from it and has the dsg fitting rigged on with hose clamps and the bottle itself has a hole drilled on the side and a tire valve stem in it and we have a air pressure regulator we use to pressurize the bottle to ~12 psi...

also vw offers a manual hose to fill the dsg you can use which u hook up to the trans and then the bottle on the other side of a hose, and just squeeze the fluid in..

no...we just use Valvoline chemicals and their atomizer contraption...
I had extra bottles of 2 of the 3 parts(fuel injector cleaner - pour the bottle in the gas tank - and throttle body cleaner - used it as a makeshift intake cleaner...the other part is the actual intake cleaner - which I didn't use) of their intake service so I used them...otherwise I would've not done them if I had to buy them, kuzz I don't feel like paying for anything I didn't NEED to...

also I forgot to put in the picture...I replaced the cabin filter again..
and if I have time today again, i'll doa balance and rotate and align..
it's my last day here, so im guessing i'll have some of time at the end of the day..haha

Anybody ever experience cranking your car over only for it to start sputtering at 11-1500rpm and then stalling? I got apr stage 1 and it started to do it after I got it. I'm gonna take it to the dealer but I'm just hoping it's not a fuel pump or filter

Also, it took about the 15th turn with my foot on the gas to finally get it to crank over

Got my "car parts stimulus payment" today (read:tax return) so I ordered the IE manifold and red billet valve cover. Previous Owner had water meth setup using the washer fluid reservoir and I want to run direct port, and relocate the bottle and pump to the trunk. My bay is a rats nest. Next, I have these ballasts and leveling devices all over the place so I want to re mount them and reinstall the fog/headlights. All this junk is crammed into the front bumper area and isn't fitting properly.

Good to know man, but at the end you have the expertise and equipment to make this work properly!

Just an FYI before snapping off the filler neck, the Porsche Oil cap will not fit directly onto the valve cover. I have the same one and neck snapped off, tried to fit cap directly and it wont screw down. Had to epoxy the neck back on. It'll fit with OEM Cap tho.

I think that the R8's oil cap will fit as well!
