Thanks mang. It'll be done tm most def. I scoped out the underneath and hit the two bolts I need to remove with some rust remover etc. I pretty much have everything in order.

I'm glad I washed and waxes last weekend so it could rain all week and then finally piles several inches of snow of top of it.

I can tell. For the future, try not to put the stands there. I mean, they work, but not the best locations.

yea I'm up for suggestions... I used those locations based on this http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthrea...8#post52054928 and by just looking at the pictures the best I could. If you know of safer jack stand points please let me know.

It didn't help that my driveway is uneven/slanted

It's not that odd. I remember trick or treating when I was little in a couple inches of snow. Only a few times, but remember, it is the end of October.

It happened a few times in the early 90's to my recollection. Not surprising but I could do without it!

Had DSG flashed at the dealer to add Launch Control. Apparently, this wasn't standard on '07 GLIs.

While there, got hosed with a $100 oil change. I was being lazy instead of doing it myself. Guy there said, "yeah but this is 100% synthetic oil." I said for $100 I could do it myself twice and use Mobil 1. Lesson learned, or should I say, relearned.

Well... No. Sorry, but global warming is real.
