Completed a road trip from NJ>Cleveland>Chicago>Pontiac/Detroit and back. Lotta miles, when we left the car had just past 109k. Was all over chicago with it, saw tons of awesome places and lots of trains. When we got to Michigan got to cruise with some of the coolest cars of all ages and styles in the Woodward Ave dream cruise. What an awesome week and it could not have been better without my GTI.

Now that I am back I am halfway towards doing yet another oil change. Just did one before I left!

Washed it.

Polished the lips and caps on the wheels. Also, polished the exhaust tips that haven't been polished in years. Took me an hour and they are still not 100%

I had it like that because a tow hitch made a hole in my bumper. Looks very bad. Especially on yours. No offense.

Not today but Saturday at the Old Fort VW owners Club show I had the lights setup so the halogens light up when I turn the brights on the fogs stay on too (6 gun salute), also coming home and leaving home is now activated. Door and seatbelt dingers no longer chime either, I think Im gonna need to get VAG-COM

Oh hey mine did the same thing too shortly after I filled it up last night in jersey from my midwest road trip. Didnt have a chance to check it with the computer today. Hoping its the intake flapper thingy so the dealer can finally replace that for me.

Saturday night, I replaced my cam follower, but the stupid banjo bolt started to leak. So I tore it back down and broke the o-ring on the HPFP. Sent my wife to get another one while I was at work today... a tire blew on the MK4.

So, since the car wasn't moving over the rest of the weekend, and since the dealer was closed, I started the tare down of the intake manifold to do some carbon cleaning. Also found an a3 TB pipe for $40, so picked one of those up to ditch the noise pipe.

Also throwing in the new radiator fans, oil change, trans fluid flush, and probably something that I'm forgetting.

So, is it possible to swap out the switch covers? I have a 2 door, can I buy this and just swap two covers onto my switches, and use one of the single units on the passenger side?
