Anyone have access to a evap / leak testing smoke machine? I've had a cel for some evap junk for 2 years. Gas cap is relatively new. Found a rusted out evap line, fixed it. My leak detection pump was bad, replaced it. Charcoal canister should be okay. Purge valve works, and I also have a spare to test with. I suspect either a hard line going up front, fuel pump seal or something along those lines.

Just annoys me because it's not an actual problem with the car, but still is a problem with getting inspection...

Anyone have an upper coolant pipe for a longitudinal AEB 1.8t? It's the metal one that crosses over top the intake manifold. -For my Passat, one from an Audi might work too. Pretty sure the AEB one is NOT the same as different engine codes.

what does it go to and from, is hardline only or hard and soft line...I can probably get you a brand new one from worldpac tomorrow for minimal dollars

I believe he's talking about the 1/4" one that goes to the overflow. It transfers to soft line at one point.

It's the one that comes from the coolant flange in the back of the head, crosses over and connects to the upper radiator hose. Also has the overflow that goes back to the reservoir, a port that goes to the oil cooler and then another that goes to the turbo or something. It's all hardpipe.

I looked and on ecs a NEW one is $140+ shipping! That's nuts, especially because I just need one to strip and refinish...

I didn't see any hardline on ECS for your car...I can get any softline or softline with plastic quick-connect flanges but same day but hardline would have to come from vw, if you come by we can take a look together and figure something out
