Yeah, I like this one much better than the last couple that I tried. I think they might actually have it somewhere close to what they want it to be. Now, to get that power saving bug fixed.

Hehe, I'm a folding monster, plus my new 3930K box that rolls 4.8Ghz tears work units up.
    http://fah-web.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/...sername=Extide

Maybe I will move my herd to this team. You guys would have to watch your rearview mirrors! As I'd be mowing y'all down! hehe

    Couple Tips:
-You get more points if you use a passkey
-The SMP (multi core) client will get more points than multiple instances of the unicore client. DONT USE THE UNICORE CLIENT!
-ATI Cards generally suck (not because the hardware is crap, but they just dont have a good client for ATI cards)
    -nVidia cards fold well
-I'd suggest everyone make sure they are using the new v7 beta client. That will ensure you are using the latest stuff and it is a lot easier to manage. MAKE SURE TO COMPLETELY UNINSTALL AND REMOVE THE OLD CLIENT BEFORE UPGRADING TO THIS ONE. DO NOT RUN BOTH!
-GPU Clients dont NEED to use a ton of CPU, there are ways to fix this. You can lower the cpu use (as the only reason the appear to use a lot of cpu is because they are spin-waiting) There are various guides to fixing this online

Ask me for help if you want, I have been doing F@H and Seti@Home for ~15+ years

    Basic Information

Yea man you definitely need to try and get more people to join our team.

It seems like its one thing after another i just replaced my work computer's broken power supply (GTX456) and then my liquid cooling line just blew off my personal computer (GTX480) so now i have to re do my whole loop and get some more feser one cooling fluid before i can fold with that one again.

When I ran my watercooled rigs I just used about a 1:4 mix of filtered water:prestone coolant, a lot cheaper than feser one.
that will take care of corrosion issues from the diff metals.

My gtx 295 is giving me problems with the new client. Every time it starts, my video drivers crash. I've tried multiple installs and setting tweaks

yea your right it is allot cheaper and it would run a little cooler to but the fact that its non conductive is awesome, the blow out today probably would have toasted my computer if it wasn't.
But my gpu maxes out at 50C when overclocked and at 100% load so that's not too bad considering that's pretty much what my air cooled GTX465 idles at lol

Which drivers? Go back to 285.xx seems to fix it for most people

I'll give that a try. I'm on spring break right now but I'll be back with my machine on Sunday. Thanks for the help.

I'm running on my AMD machine now.

    3Ghz quad core X4, 4GB Ram, and HD5670 1GB GDDR5.

Not sure how many points I'll fair with this machine, never done this before. Says around 3,000 points per day.

Er, now it says 4,000 points per day.

I'm going out on the lake all day, so we'll see how well it does.

Just signed up, should keep the tweaked Windows MacPro 1.1 busy. 8 cores & 16GB is more than I need. Besides, its winter & that thing makes some heat. Also tried it on the core 2 quad main HTPC but it's already falling behind the MP.

LOL just checked the HTPC & it shut off, it didn't like it. Has some OC but I guess its too much. I'll kick it back a notch & try again.

Mac Pro is keeping me warm... 110,000 points in a week & only 29 work units.
Seriously, my heat has been off all week & I an comfy. Small apt but still... I wonder if my bill is going to be higher or lower than normal. If lower its a win for all.

I am running the Mac pro 8 core & occasionally the HTPC core 2 Quad. C2Q Is pitiful compared to the Mac. Only using CPU on both, have a GTX 660 Ti in the HTPC but running the GPU card gets too noisy. Good score for the short time running. Gotta look but I should be over 1,000,000 & the work units is extremely low. Been watching you & wanted to catch up. We are the only 2 left.

The only reason the Mac is turned on is a movie server. I do not have another PCI-e slot to run the LSI card in the HTPC. Mac is a power HOG though it really did keep my apt warm for the winter & electric bills were about the same as if the heat was on in my apt. 77* today & it's time to shut that thing off.

Beginning of winter I acquired 3 Mac Pro's, upgraded 2 of them to 8 core kept one 4 core kinda original. My 8 core is running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit only. Dual Xeon X5355 2.66Ghz Quad core Processors, 16GB ram, Blue-Ray, SSD, Airport Extreme WiFi, Bluetooth, ATI 4870 flashed for PC & Mac, LSI HBA 3.0Gb/sec card to an external box with 4 2TB HDD with the movies.

I need to upgrade the HTPC so I can run the LSI card on it. I traded the other 8 core running OSX for a 2011 I5 quad core iMac. iMac is sold & should get final payment tonight. My 8core windows Pro is posted For Sale on CL locally. http://allentown.craigslist.org/sys/3723530729.html
Money I get from these will buy the HTPC upgrades.

1,103,841 points according to my post I signed up on Jan 26, 2012
That's 74 days to date. that's about 15,000 PPD. & the F@H control panel on the Pro shows 14,000 PPD alone. Some processing power on the CPUs

Oh did I mention it is For Sale.

Finally got the HTPC upgraded the way I wanted. New mobo CPU & Ram. Running stable & now have the GPU folding, GTX 660 Ti.

15K PPD is nothing... how bout 55,000 on one PC.

Not a fluke. It's running both the CPU & GPU at once. Mac Pro is now turned off.

I sold the Mac Pro yesterday & haven't had it running for a few weeks.

Been running the upgraded HTPC now with I5 3570K & NVidia GTX 660 Ti. Running 2 slots on the same machine, SMP & GPU... which is the CPU & graphics card. Had it paused all day Saturday & most of today. Had some more demanding things I had to get done. The Graphics card alone is making about 30,000 PPD.

Still pulled off about 210,000 points in less than a week.
