Ok so I decided to change my driver side axle... proceede to remove the three bolts from the ball joint. Then I realised that I didn't have the tool to remove those six bolts from the axle. I got one and removed the axle finally. I strted to put the damn grease on the new one when all the F#@k!ng bearings just fell out!!!!!!!!!!! WTF??????????!!!!!!... what the hell so now my frigin car is left at work in the garage.. hopefully I won't get a runaround tomorrow... imma frigin FLIP!!!
Put the bearings back in. It's like a puzzle. Just look at it and figure it out.
All the axles i get have zip ties holding the bearings and race in place. I leave them in until i'm done packing the joint with grease, that way the bearings won't fall out.
Side note: Why u mad?
set up an appointment for the car to go into the shop this friday for a looooong list of overhauls, goodies, and bodywork. as much as i want to put work myself, laziness trumps my days -- i'm hoping to get my love back for the mk3. i'm giving it one more go... wish me luck.
