Got her alligned by Stewart auto in winter haven. Pretty chill dudes. Rides like a dream. But my "shakes at 60mph problem still occurs". Goes away at 70mph. I fear my struts are going or are gone.. Does kyb have a lifetime warranty?

I finally got the ride hight on my girls jetta dialed in. At first I slammed it and it scrapped a lil bit, I didnt think twice about it but the chick wasnt so content, she thaught her 18s were going to get messed up. So after I bent the control arm and replaced it I cranked the coils wayyy up and said there ya go lol. it looked so goofy and rode like it was all locked up on hydros haha, so that convinced her to let me lowerer back down to a "reasonable" hight. As of now the arches are right at the tires and rides great and the girlfriend is happy!![]()

i like your consistency on the bowlsalthough you didnt mention a bowl before you started?
What I did..
Finaly removed a stripped bolt from the oil panbut then another one at the back.. in the worst spot.. stripped.
Easy outs dont seem to work. I had to grind down a chizel and cut a slot through the bolt to remove it. I dont think my dremel will fit in the back to cut a slot in this other stupid ass bolt, i feel so set back
So im kinda pissed![]()

Forgot to mention I also started polishing my wheels which arent technically things done to my mk3 but they will be a part of it eventually![]()

Rightfully so! Make sure to post a pic when you smack the ol' ecodes on. Once the weather warms up for good, my front end will consist of:
-Full sequoia early badgeless
-clear ecodes (believe it or not I do have a line on some)
-european dummy panels (no more fogs)
-amber turns
I was in a pickle between this setup and the setup you are about to have. Glad we wont be twins next season.![]()

Bfi mounts in only I couldnt use the hardware for the passenger side mount because they were too long. Is this normal? Trans mount Saturday and exhaust next week. Im starting to get a lil burnt out with this buy a cheap car and renovate it stuff.

She keeps tellin me you should sell that POS everyday. And then I consider the alternative. A quiet, boring, lil eco box. And then when im on the on ramp to the highway I punch it and wind out 3rd gear and hear that intake and the exhaust together in perfect harmony as it rips a humongous hole in the ozone layer and causes the spontaneous explosions of tree huggers faces . Imy VR6!!!

If it makes you feel better I have already spent more on maintenance parts for my car than I got the car for.
Which says something because I paid $2g for the car.

Im well on my way also, but I'm not even half way done yet and spent mega chips on the vr6 and I've done all the work myself to keep it cheap. Jus not working out the way I planned. Im addicted. Maybe I should spend the money on rehab instead???

Shaved the drivers side of the bay for now. Fixing a 1cm rust spot turned into "well I'll weld up this." And it always snowballs from there. I'll get around to the pass side sometime in 2015.
Hid the power steering reservoir.
Started making a triangulated strut bar.

I've had the car for almost a year and very soon the only things that will still be under the hood from the day I bought it will be the block, the alternator, the oil pump and pan, PS pump, and the evap system
Replacing the entire coolant system
Replacing all sensors
doing a 16v head swap
replacing engine internals
getting a custom harness made
Then once my motor is tolerable, I will start on body work. I do the work myself, unless its something I can't do, than I have a friend who's pricing scheme is "What ever a shop will charge you I'll cut in half"

Checked my mailbox hoping to find a present, but not today. I'm sick of waiting for my euro switch from TMT. Ordered it way back in mid January, and it was supposed to be here by the 20th.

I already stopped caring about getting it to 100%, cause as I was looking for my DA, I finally found my flutted carbides I have been searching for.
Priorities changed right back to getting this head finished and on the car. I'll just rock a half shaved bay for a few monthes.![]()

Took pops to the airport. Halfway through my seafoamed tank. Sitting at 6-minute red lights was fine, but the 30 seconds stopped at the door to the airport.. CEL came on. Can almost guarantee it's that evap leak again.
We need a series like this state-side. I'm in if there is one, or will be one. VW Cup 2013, anyone?

Struggled with what to do.
Just put a lot of work into it, but the shell is clearly rotting away. Fix it, and carry on? Start fresh?
