I used the black box on my B7 Passat. Stuff works pretty damn well and seems to last a good long time. Highly recommend it for black cars.
It has a pre wax cleaner, wax, and detail spray, all black, in the box.
Drove it in the Woodward Dream Cruise. Surprisingly, got quite a few positive comments on the car despite the rare, beautiful, and/or insanely powerful cars that were there.
If you've never been, I suggest you go next year. You can't call yourself a car guy until you've been to Woodward.
Keep Calm & Chive On
Autocrossed with the Porsche club. I think I had the lowest HP car in attendance and managed a time of 76 seconds. Would have gotten 74 if I didn't understeer into a cone. The track-prepped Porsche's, BMW's and Miatas were hitting low 60's, down to 54 seconds.
Not bad, considering that 2 MK4's (VR and 1.8T) were in the high 60's to low 70's on sticky tires and good suspension setups.
76 seconds slammed on racelands with a stock 2.0 and all-seasons? I'll take that.

Raised the racelands in the front, installed a cup kit in the back.
The to do list just keeps getting longer the more I check off. Weird, innit?
-window regulator + motor
-e brake cables
Lesser priority is:
-order cx racing coils
-reupholster headliner (****ing monsoon)
-patch rust on quarter panel
-new fender and hood
Hopefully most of that will be crossed off before H20.
After only driving 13 miles in the past almost two weeks, I finally had to run an errand that involved using the Interstate. Rev limiter in 2nd and 3rd twice. Really wish I had a VR.
We need a series like this state-side. I'm in if there is one, or will be one. VW Cup 2014, anyone?

Cracked my brand-new LIP trying to get out of father-in-laws crazy driveway. PISSED!!!
She keeps tellin me you should sell that POS everyday. And then I consider the alternative. A quiet, boring, lil eco box. And then when im on the on ramp to the highway I punch it and wind out 3rd gear and hear that intake and the exhaust together in perfect harmony as it rips a humongous hole in the ozone layer and causes the spontaneous explosions of tree huggers faces . I my VR6!!!
Took off the schrick intake for a compression test. Turned out ok. I broke a couple plug wires.... grrr. But they are old anyways... also found out the PO uses bosche platinum plugs... gay.
Water pump.is leaking out the weap hole. Pretty bad so I'm replacing that today and tomorrow.might be spark plugs and wires.

"stop telling lies about me, and ill stop telling the truth about you"...MD.
Drove it, after 1 week out of the city.
Cleaned the engine and engine bay
Cleaned the interior and applied leather treatment.
Picked up a new window regulator + motor, fender, and hood.
Between work and class though I really don't have much time to get anything done. Trying to get the window fixed and alignment set so I can get it back on the road asap.
