Just hit 3.54 in Atlanta that is lowest I've seen at the Quick Trip.

Don't wanna give it up or chip mode but it is a hard pill to swallow!!

Oh hey look another thread about the rising cost of gas.

If you can't afford the required fuel, get a different car.

'Required fuel', 'different car' ...it's just a volkswagen, just put 87 octane gas in it, it will run just fine.

Ya it runs but at what cost? Gas isn't going down in price. If you can't afford it now, you're better off getting a different car.

  10. 04-09-2008 07:26 PM #10
    $3.89 here in tacoma

  11. 04-09-2008 07:35 PM #11
    93oct @ 3.54 x 10gallons = $35.40
    87 oct @ 3.34 x 10 gallons = $33.40

if you can't afford $2 difference, sell the car and buy a tricycle

gotta co-sign with you guys....most people just see it as paying more..instead of thinking it out to show a $2 difference...and with the mileage you get in a jetta..its should be alright

I get 34 mpg when I was only getting 20mpg in my WRX...so im alright with the 91 octane

it cost me $50 to fill up yesterday...i mean is 50 bux @3.49 a gallon to fill up really that serious..

  18. 04-09-2008 10:47 PM #18
that 50 bucks could go pretty far. its not all to bad. just SLOW down and stop speeding EVERYWHERE for no reason at all.

  19. 04-09-2008 10:55 PM #19
You guys have it made. I went from a 29 MPG GLI to 18 MPG B6 S4. I'm up to about $75 bucks a week in gas driving conservatively.

Seriously. Is it really worth saving $2 to have your car run poorly?

^^^^^ i think your lying.... bc gas stations dont make hardly any money on gas and for him to pay half well he would be basically be paying for your gas and you i both know thats not happening.

You are right.... gas stations make only a penny or two on each gallon... they make more on you going in and buying a pack of gum or a soda...

I agree. And if you kids would slow down and stay out of boost, you can get ~400 miles per tank.

I won't sacrifice a lower octane for the gas prices...i'll just start riding my bike ......seriously.

...and if you think we've got it bad here in the U.S. ....try filling up in Duestchland paying per liter
