^^^^^ i think your lying.... bc gas stations dont make hardly any money on gas and for him to pay half well he would be basically be paying for your gas and you i both know thats not happening.

You are right.... gas stations make only a penny or two on each gallon... they make more on you going in and buying a pack of gum or a soda...

93oct @ 3.54 x 10gallons = $35.40
87 oct @ 3.34 x 10 gallons = $33.40
if you can't afford $2 difference, sell the car and buy a tricycle

thread shoulda been over after this.

I agree. And if you kids would slow down and stay out of boost, you can get ~400 miles per tank.

Yeah, if you stay out of boost and drive carefully you can get ~400 miles per tank.

yea but thats when the old ladies start passing me i gotta at least keep up with them. I just didn't know that 400 out of my car was even possible that extra hundred must be hard to get.

I have found lower octane fuel gives lower miles per gallon and the price to miles actually stays pretty much the same. So yeah you may save a huge wopping massive future millionaire $2 on your fill up, but your mpg will drop and your car will drive crappy. Put high test in it and skip out on those twinkies, cigarettes, etc, to make up that huge difference.

If you can't bring yourself to pay for 91, you're driving the wrong Volkswagen. You should be in this section.
Me? I just like to think of it as the increasing cost of pissing off the tree huggers. I dig deep into boost, smile, and consider it to be worth every penny

55L tank @ $1.21 would be closer to $66.

Get a carbon hood, lightweight battery, take off your backseats and spare, replace your front seats with 1 piece carbon buckets, remove the sound deadening under the carpet, take off the 18s and put on lighter 17s....That should improve your gas mileage by a solid 2-3mpg, (at least city driving)

Just hit 3.54 in Atlanta that is lowest I've seen at the Quick Trip.
Don't wanna give it up or chip mode but it is a hard pill to swallow!!

Dude its like a few extra bucks on a fill up ...I'm sorry I'm sick of hearing about people complaining about gas prices. Pay to play brother, if you don't like it buy a Prius.
