I've been filling up after about 200 miles or half a tank. Gas has been about $4.22 so it only costs about 40 bucks to fill. I've also tried to not drive as much like a maniac.

Why would you spend the coin on the Flex Fuel kit? E85 gets you less MPGs and its not like its crazy cheap either. Plus, that $800 can buy a lot of fuel for your stock fuel system!

They actually ran a story on the news last night about this whole "using regular instead of premium" thing. Lots of people are downgrading fuel. But really, the cost difference isn't that much so why not run what your car needs? If you can't afford the fuel, then you shouldn't have bought the car to begin with.

I filled up a few weeks ago with 93 at $4.05. I'll be filling up later this week probably. Looks like its $4.11 at the BJ's in town. Cheapest premium around me by a solid 5 cents. And I've been seeing $4.20+ as well. We have 2 diesels in the stable too though. I drive my GTI to work and back and that's pretty much it (all city driving...6.5 miles one way) and I get 23-24mpg. Not too unhappy about that...gets better mpgs than my 2.0 Beetle and its much more fun to drive But hubby did get 47mpg on his commute in his TDI...a bit jealous for sure.

$1.52/liter here in South Western Ontario... For you Americans, that's $5.88 for a U.S. gallon of 91 octane at 3.87 liters/US gal. Damned expensive... But I love my car, so I keep doing it.

Washington has one of the higher gas prices in the US. It won't keep me from putting supreme in my 20th. That's why I have a POS 94 Jetta with a fart can that I can put cheap gas in for commuting.

Yeah everyone here in utah complains about gas when it's at $3.60 a gallon. I paid that back in high school 5 years ago in SoCal.

Some parts of the country are better than others, Whether or not one can handle buying gas, it does not negate the fact that gasoline prices are ridiculous and if we still want to drive our cars, we are slaves to the pump. And sometimes the pump does not use lube...if ya know what I mean.

At the BJ's in Crossroads Gasbuddy is showing it as $4.12 there still.

Also, everyone don't forget to keep up with maintenance. I got my car with 112k on it in Sept. Its now coming up on 119k. Decided to do the fuel filter since I had no records...it was original Lots of nasty stuff came out of it. Hoping it helps get me another mpg or two!
