I vote for sunday afternoon hopefully everything is done by then.

Painted the trunk red, it looks really funky probably bc of the flash but it matches the red strips in the front pretty close

Here is it is with wood back in. i think it looks ok, but looks better then keeping it unpainted

Why do you say that? A) a cupkit isn't low enough to cause issues in the winter here on LI, and B) I personally don't know anyone with coilovers that actually raises them up for the winter, I know I sure as hell don't, no way I'm spending another $100 on an alignment after I raise it then another $100 come spring when I lower it again The only thing bad about a cupkit is you're stuck with that stance, I know when I had my cupkit on my mk3, and then sport springs on the mkV, I was bored of the stance after just a couple of weeks b/c it wasn't how I wanted it to sit, I ended up going coils o both eventually and finally learned my lesson with my Audi and put coils on from the get go

If you want to go stupid low = FK
if you want to go low enough but have an awesome ride = Koni (had them in my mkV when I sold it, can provide pics if need be, I had them all the way down up front and just a tad higher in the rear for some stance action)
(we're talking almost stock ride quality with the Koni's, just amazing, most comfortable coilover I've ever owned, I wish the Koni's in my Audi were half as comfortable).

the only reason why i regret it is because i live in the city and i go home frequently during the semesters, so i would raise it in the winter.. also as you said im stuck with that stance, if i dont like it or its too low for the streets in my neighborhood then im screwed lol

unless you live in northern VT or Canada then I wouldn't worry, the cupkit won't be too low for winter

Well I'm off to East Hampton today for a possible 12 or 16 hr day of surveying damage to the electric lines from the storms the other night, apparently they got pretty hammered with tons of damage.

The main issue is people want the lowest thing on the planet and then want to drive it everywhere. No one is going to kick you in the nutz if your stock lip doesnt scrape. Lower the car to where you are happy, and don't jump on the bandwagon cause everyone else is.

And speaking of bandwagon.... I know EE wasent the first with the Military/Militia theme and EE has done it better- but damn, Now EVERYONE is doing it. I just looked in the WF16 forum and all I can say is Can't anyone think for themselves anymore?

Yeah, now that is pretty much all that is left from the military theme days.

We have been trying to get away from that for the last 6 months or so and I think we have done a good job at putting the hardcore military theme behind us.

As we move towards the future we are going for more of a street theme for lack of a better word, if any theme at all.

      But who knows lol.

      I agree with you

Business wise, the military concept in my opinion is coming to an end if not over.. Yet people are still motivated by it, and hats off to them

As far as the scene is concerned, I think more and more people should just do what they please to there cars. Add your personality into the car instead of making it to someone elses vision.

I also see a lack of "involvement" in the scene.. EE Militia is fortunate to have members believing in what we do But I see alot of people on the vortex & golfmkv that just shoot out garbage, yet they don't get involved and participate and put some money where there mouth is and make a difference???

Anyone, business or club can be successful, it's dependent upon the participation of it's members and support. Both financially and as an enthusaist

At the end of the day, if it's not fun...then why do it at all

Just got home from surveying out in Springs and man is that place annihilated it looks like godzilla walked through knocking down trees at will, seriously looks like a disaster zone with massive trees on houses and cars, but then you go a few blocks south and everything looks fine, so weird how concentrated the storm was the other night.
