Thread: how to replace the rear subframe bushings in 01 jetta

    1. 04-22-2008 07:42 AM #1
im new to this forum, but i really need the help. when i go over bumps my driver side rear makes a clunking noise. i took it to the dealership, and they said it was the subframe bushing...and that it would set me back about $1500. i need to do this my self, but i just wasnt sure where the bushing actually is, and where i can order one. i just dont want to start taking things apart without knowing. thanks

I wouldn't go off just what the dealer said, get a second opinion. Check the sway bar bushings and the strut bearings first in my opinion.
