I finally have money to buy some nice chrome oem style mirrors and guess what.. they dont sell them!

Anybody have any leads on some nos, or in VERY good condition Chrome mk1 flag mirrors, or a full set of chrome door handles let me know cash in hand!

^^^nevermind I just got some from retro rabbit. Btw they will have them back in stock in 2 months. But they happened to have a lightly scuffed pair I could buy! $300 for all 4 handles and mirrors shipped to me. That beats $240 for the handles and $160 for the mirrors!

Instead I am going to take my happy arse down to busco beach for the weekend! So my attention has turned to my trike! At least I have all the parts to get that fixed!

I will provide another option... If anyone has a running diesel motor that will at least last a trip to ocean city and back, could I rent it from you? Or buy it? I just want something in the dam car already! I have a transmission ect.. just need a good running longblock 1.6

Guys - I have an urgent (to me) need for a set of 12x28mm conical lug bolts for my Mk3. The bolts I have are too long for the wheels I just mounted. Pep Boys only has the longer bolts. Does Bap Geon stock anything like that? Can you recommend a place? Thanks!

Thanks for the info, guys. I called plenty of places including BAP, NAPA, and some tire shop. None of the major players had cone seat in 28mm. PepBoys has 32mm. But that's too long. I was considering a trip to BFI since I need them before Sunday. But then I got lucky and found Rimtyme Custom Wheels and Tires in Hampton. They had plenty. Now I'm all set with new purty bolts.

And, DAMN, I can't believe what people spend to put 26" wheels on their trucks! Especially if they finance them.

Anyone interested in a 81 2 door rabbit diesel? I'd love to hang on to it for a future project, but unfortunately I need to finish/fix my other 2 VAG cars so i can actually have a operational vehicle and the money isn't exactly pouring in.

Less than 120k if i remember right. Currently not running. Cranks but doesnt turn over. Other known issues is a coolant leak and brakes (I'm thinking master cylinder but never tore into it). Body is in decent shape, with very little rust. All gauges and lighting works. Carpet and seats are out. Have a brand new red carpet set from Newton Commercial in England I was going to put in it. When I bought the car it had Recaro trophy front seats and stock rear, both of which are in rough shape. Still have them, and also have a pretty rare set of mk1 "California Edition" (red with plaid inners) seats in decent condition. This is as much as I care to type on my phone. Will post a proper classified ad later.
