paid $4.199/gal for Sunoco's finest 93octane this week, outside of Philadelphia.that was the cheapest price for 93oct in my area.

i believe Lukoil gas stations have the highest 93oct prices in the whole Philly Metro region~like somewhere in the $4.35~$4.45 range they are having major issues between their distributors and their main corporate offices.some stations raised their prices to $8.99/gal this week;just temporarily to prove a point to their home office.

We canadians get so f***ed with gas prices, its unbelievable. Especially here in Montreal, always highest in the country. Its gotten to the point where I think 27mpg from my rabbit is terrible!

Refinery problems send California gas prices skyrocketing

When Errol Emrich drove by a Shell station in his San Jose neighborhood last weekend, regular gas was selling for $4.05 a gallon.

On Monday, it was $4.15. On Tuesday, $4.25. And this weekend? Analysts say it could reach a whopping $4.40.

Problems at California refineries have slashed supplies across the state, cutting fuel production and raising wholesale prices -- the price stations pay for their gasoline -- by as much as 73 cents, to levels not seen since 2007.

And that almost certainly will boost prices at the pump again soon.

"California gasoline prices may surge in the next five days, perhaps to levels higher than February's $4.33-a-gallon average," said Patrick DeHaan, an analyst with Gasbuddy.com. "It is within the realm of possibility that average prices reach near $4.40 or even higher if the situation worsens."

Ithaca, NY has some astronomically high prices. Is this all around NY? I'm from MA so I don't typically get to NY other than up here for school.

    I just paid $4.58/gal for 93. Brutal.

For some reason, New York State is extremely high right now, much higher than states surrounding it. I actually just talked to friends in Ithaca and Syracuse today, in fact, about their unusually high gas prices.

On a somewhat related note, I haven't bought gas in over a month, so I had to look to see what it was at my gas station on gasbuddy.com: $3.49/gal for 87 in East Nashville, TN.

Just filled up at HEB in Burleson for $3.21 ($3.09 after gift card promo).

It's broken the $2.99 barrier in San Antonio.

Go west young man. $1.09/L in Edmonton this morning.

When did I become happy at paying only 1.09/L

    $3.29/gal around here yesterday.
I would not be shocked to see it drop below $3/gal for a little.

I was on my way past Rocky Hill yesterday and figured I'd fill up at the local Ravi which is always cheaper than the bigger towns. $4.35 for 93. I come home early this morning and pass the nearby Valero. $4.09 for 93

Maybe that is due to excessive drug use, which can lead to prostitution and homelessness.
