Thread: Code 18014 Rough Road/Engine torque signal from ABS

    1. 05-11-2008 07:03 PM #1
I have a 2000 Audi A4 Quattro 1.8T. I am getting code "18014 Rough Road/ENgine Torque signal from ABS electrical malfunction" Also getting the ABS light, and flashing parking brake light in my instrument cluster followed by 3 beeps when turning on the ignition.
There is a whine sound coming from the rear pass. side of the car, I suspect the wheel bearing needs replacing. I have also installed new rear brakes, but the 18014 code has been coming up before and after I have changed out the rear brakes.

      Anyone have any ideas??

the beeping is driving me nutzzzzz

Your car needs an abs module. Not the whole thing, just the electronics portion. The dealer has them for 5-600 dollars. I have heard of places on e-bay that repair your existing one for a lot less, but have never used these services personally. Good luck!
