Intercooled, 440's, good turbo, c2 programming?... you should be able to run 20lbs of boost.
no c2, been on megasquirt for almost 2 years. turbo should get the job done for now.

Something about an aba turbo makes me just want to hug it. Its just such a wholesome beast of a setup. I cannot wait to swap an aba into the next mk2 I find.

    Now put that **** together

1999 VW Jetta 2.0L (ABA) turbo. Heavily modified, for sale.

It's DONE. just took it for a quick spin around the block. still need to figure out fueling with my g60 injectors since the #42s i got from a vortex member seem to be clogged. I set the mixture plenty rich but im still leaning out at full boost 13.4 i'll tweak it some more tomorrow and see what it does. video coming soon, just need to find someone with a camera

I'd go bigger than 440 if you're going to buy injectors again. Siemens 60lbs would be good.

I'll take them in for service and see if they can be saved. if not, I'll just buy another wastegate spring until I can afford new injectors A/C comes first though, we just hit 110 today and I want to daily this one again.

  17. 05-12-2009 03:48 AM #52
I sent my injectors in to witchhunter performance, and they bench tested, replaced all seals, and cleaned them for like 18 an injector I think, also got them back in like 2 days, with a flow graph for each injector. Here is the website

meh, car ran a 1050 launching in 2nd gear. N/A form I was doing flat 10's. remember this is in the 1/8 mile. Car is acting up. I still need to get another wideband sensor and some injectors. car was misfiring above 5k rpm and that really kills my times. (used to rev to 7.2k).

here's a few pics to keep the thread alive.

friend of mine came by and we washed the cars.
he just got this clean mk2 golf for 1.2k 1.8, mk3 style interior, borbets and some other goodies. anybody knows who's it was before?

    anyway on to the pics

Just a quick update. I ordered my injectors from racetronix, some spark plugs and another sensor from summit. I went to the drag strip yesterday and got better results. finally I got into the 9s on the 1/8 mile. not very amazed though. I was doing almost flat 10s in n/a form. but either way, car is not at its best. still cutting/misfiring past 4.5k rpm. so I know the times will go way down.

    elapsed time 9.874
    vehicle speed 74.31
    reaction time 0.766
    60' et 2.374

BTW DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM H8 valver .. he never got back to me regarding the bad injector issue. so beware.

ill update this as soon as i get my injectors.

edit: heres a vid from that day. mine's the mk2 obviously. rabbit has a modded 16v on it. mk3 injection, cams, short runner and some other stuff. he blames the times on his tires. i say 16vs suck

    just a quick update.

got my 440 injectors from racetronix (the black ones) g60s are FOR SALE.

just need the wideband to tune it correctly.

I noticed my car started throwing oil from the dipstick and a lot of smoke from the breather thingy on top of the valve cover.
the outlet that used to go to the intake is just open to the atmosphere and I noticed everything around it is covered in a light film of oil.

I covered it with my finger and the dipstick just popped out of its place.
and white smoke started coming out of the exhaust.

I took it for a spin and everything is back to normal (no smoke from tailpipe)

I'm guessing rings but I could be wrong. anybody else have this problem? I know this is not normal because it wasn't doing it before.

either way I'm working on a catch can right now and most likely will be doing rings and bearings along with a low comp head gasket.

its a good idea to do the bottom end of your motor. if your top end is new its only a matter of time till the bottom blows out. whats done to your trans

yeah. I'm shopping around at the moment. list includes ARP hardware, lower compression (pistons or spacer) bearings/rings and maybe lightening/balancing the crank while it's out. car is not a daily anymore so this might take a while.

transmission is a 02A CES(passat 16v) with 4th and 5th gears out of an ATA (corrado g60). lightweight g60 flywheel and sachs VR clutch.

None at the moment. I'm still deciding if I want to get pistons or just a head spacer. will definitely consider your product. looks top notch!

update. I finally figured out why my car had a lot of air coming out of the valve cover.

2 of my pistons looked like this.

    hehe.

    got some replacements.

    put them in

and decided to change the theme of my engine bay. almost
all aluminum colored parts are now black.

just need to get my front motor mount from a friend and it will go back in.

I also got a new wideband since my innovate took a dump.
i bought it from ebay. very fast shipping and very good price
