Thread: OFFICIAL: New York Jets Thread

    That game drove me nuts.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the play calling on offense has me scratching my head a lot. There's no creativity, no big plays.

    Let's Go Jets/Mets/Nets

They definitely need to give him a chance, but Thomas Jones was having his best game to date.

Where have the chances deep down field been is more like it. Favre isn't Chad Pennington. He can't only throw 15 yards in his tutu. Even at his age, he has arguably one of the strongest arms in the game. Maybe I haven't been paying that much attention, but I have yet to see him connect on a bomb. Shotgun formation, pump fake, throw. It's worked well for Tom Brady and Peyton Manning in the past. Give it a try, Eric Mangina.

He's got to be the most overrated QB coming into this year.
    He throws too many int's

    Baller Status, wow...

These games are so frustrating to watch....it started off so well with that nice efficient drive - good runs, play actions, airing it out, spreading the ball. And then came the three and outs, turnovers, and the defense letting the opposing offense march down the field.

The soft part of the schedule is now done. The Jets barely beat two of the worst teams in the league and lost to the Raiders.

    Let's Go Jets/Mets/Nets

The Chiefs had the worst run defense in the league coming in, why didn't the Jets try to pound the ****ing ball?

The Jets have already exceeded their win total from last year, and the season is only halfway over! If the Colts beat New England, three way tie for the division lead!

Both leagues in the east will be exciting to watch.

Good win. Right where we should be.

There's no reason we shouldn't get atleast 10 wins

The Jets have usually been 10-6 (when they weren't 4-12 or 6-10) of late. I'm hoping for 11-5 or better, but I dunno if it's gonna happen.

Brett normally throws INTs. It becomes further exacerbated when he is working with WRs he doesn't know all that well, and a playbook he is probably still learning. The W is all that matters in my book though.

For all of the reasons above, I'd be pretty happy with Brett's performance so far.

I definitely appreciate the small things that he does. The way he can squirm out of a certain sack and dump off a pass for a short gain; good play actions and blocking on the reverse plays (which Pennington did quite well also), firing lasers on the slant patterns (something Pennington did not do as well as Favre).

I like how Washington's role keeps expanding. I would love it if they expanded Dustin Keller's role. He can really stretch the defense out with his speed and catching abilities.

I really hope that the feeling out period for all the new players is over and now the Jets can consistently put forth an effort like the one we saw against the Bills.

I still can't believe the Jets lost to the Raiders - that was just stupid.

    Let's Go Jets/Mets/Nets
