    Thread: Event: MIVE Motorstadt V

      Auburn Hills, Mich. — Volkswagen of America may be in the process of relocating to Virginia, but that didn’t dampen the spirit at Michigan Volkswagen Enthusiasts’ Motorstadt V, again held on the grounds of VW’s Detroit-area facility.

      Crowds gathered under an overcast sky on Saturday, June 7, but as cars continued to arrive, the day brightened. Although the club had hoped for a turnout of 200 cars, over 180 gathered and it was quite a diverse collection.

      One of the best shows this year and suprizingly the OhioVW crew was very well represented with at least three trophies

      It was a nice little show, but i expected to see a lot more cars there.

      Yeah the torrential downpours we've been having in this part of the country scared a few people off I think.

      Had a awesome time again this year. thanks to all involved.

      Had a blast!! Kudos to the organizers and to everyone who did their part to make it a success. Plus I smiled when I saw pictures of my car on the Vortex Event galley

      such a great show!! good write up too, the cars you mentioned are all really good ones that stick out in my mind as well.

      No mention of the white mk5 with the thunder bunny front bumper though?

      I'd say that's the case with a lot of 1st year shows...

      People swamp it the first year and it's passe from there on out.
