I can't read any of those with the drop shadow. Windows Classic for the win.

I'll just note that a pic in this thread is my desktop, and leave it at that. (No screenshots needed, the most embarrasing thing is a NetHack icon in my dock. )

i wonder if other people from other forums will register so they can join the melee.
remember the claw incident? Beyond.ca had to add more server space and even those crashed from all the traffic.
In the past there's been a few threads that have stood out on the web. The GI-Owned comes to mind.

Holy crap! Go to work for a day and everything happens without me!
If I were a visitor and got my car booted for no reason I would be filing small claims court against Arizona Parking Solutions for the price of a comparable rental car until the boot was removed, along with reparations for my time and effort working around their illegal actions.
Oh, and WhiteRat, another for you!

Nothing remotely illegal about that. There are companies that charge for the service of increasing your pagerank. Google puts a stop to that whenever they can, of course.
And the variation in exactly where the thread appears can be explained, I believe, by the fact that the update may not propagate to all of Google's front-end servers at the same time. Just a thought.

Uhh no as he has not made any false statements just telling his story and you can't punish someone for others actions. Try again.

That's assuming they have a case, which they don't. Public forums on the internet and their actions can't be held liable for opinions and public discussion. To try even assert in court that A1A2 was responsible for their sh-I-tty image online, would be like trying to sue the Politico blogs or BoingBoing for making light of a social injustice. Never gonna happen. As someone else mentioned earlier, they got over zealous and now it's biting them in the butt... and well, they also picked on the wrong guy who happened to have a whole community backing him up.

UPDATE KIDDIES, SOMETHING VERY INTERESTING!
For one, I have tags! Yeah! Wow, I can't believe now I can't officially not get booted for not having them. I wounder what else they'll will try to find.
SO I CALLED THE HOA PRESIDENT, SOMETHING KINDA INTERESTING, I ALSO HAVE THE HOA APS CONTRACT!:
-So Blake, you've arranged this meeting so we could wave the fines implemented by APS, well, they haven't charged you a fee/fine, so there is nothing for us to wave.
Umm.....I wounder if they are going to try: outstanding fines for late penalties. However that's not going to fly, they had their opportunity, I even mentioned at the HOA Board meeting if it absolutely came down to me having to pay I have the $140 right now. That's very interesting they HAVE NOT charged a fine/fee, well, yet.
Also, in the phone call I started that the Schmuck stated and I quote," If any of his vehicles are parked ANYWHERE on the property at any time with or with out a pass they will be booted and towed immediately."
Her response:
-They can't do that, if that's in the contract it's getting yanked, you parking passed HAVE BEEN REINSTATED! WOOT! WOOT! WOOT!
Well, that's gravy baby!
HOWEVER! APS argued let that is not the case. WTF! So I'm a grey area, and if I get towed then I'm dealing with a tow company as well .
Her response: Well, I think you need to contact the owner and see where you guys stand, not Gerry.
So I think they will attempt to ALWAYS have a UNPAID FEE on record and use it every instance!
Hmmm.............don't know about that one just yet, that in it's self with be a juicy topic here.
SO I HAVE A COPY OF THE CONTRACT!
It will not allow me to copy and paste, I've tried to bring it over. I can however forward a copy of the contract in which someone else could post. If someone able of doing this could send E-mail addy IM I could send the contract.

No photoshops needed, people... we've got chicks getting all wet at the idea of booting cars.
Either that, or she's pissing herself in fear.

Where I work, we only boot a vehicle only if they have more than 4 out-standing parking tickets. Of course this has to be verified w/ DMV.
The vehicle also has to be illegally parked on public road.
Independent company booting vehicles on public road way.. I'm sure they are breaking some sort of law.

Except it's a private roadway, I do believe.
I've got a PDF of the contract, waiting on OP to tell me what to do with it.

We shape the behavior of community residents and guests by clearly communicating parking rules and holding violators responsible for their actions in a fair and consistent manner.

If that's the case, isn't it illegal to deprive a person of full usage of his/her property (vehicle) even if it is in fact parked on private roadway? I know it is in California. It'd be perfectly legal to have it towed by the property owner.
