I've always loved that one... it's weird.. but there's something about it...

    How about the Peugeot Quasar?

    The Charger III (1968)

or the 1955 Lincoln Futura (might look a little familiar)

I always thought the Peugeot 402 was pretty spacey, for 1938...

Isn't it awesome in the truest, most literal sense of the word? I had a chance to see the Lancia/Bertone Stratos "Zero" in the (silver) flesh at the 1996 Concorso Italiano in Carmel. It was then and is still the most stunning car I have ever seen. Also, for a car that has so much visual presence, it is INCREDIBLY tiny.

    Another favorite from that show:

    1988 Bertone/Lamborghini Genesis

HAVE/HAD: Mercedes, Porsche, Cadillac, Land Rover, VW (x5), Buick, Mitsubishi, Chrysler, Dodge, Nissan, Ford, GMC
WANT: FIAT 500C Abarth, VW Scirocco Mk1, Alfa Romeo GTV, Lotus Esprit, Audi TT, 240Z, Lancer Evo VIII RS,
Hudson Hornet, Porsche 964, Mini Cooper, Caterham SV, M-B CLS63 AMG, DeTomaso Pantera

1954 Cramer Comet with a 12 cyl aircraft engine producing 1350hp

The body of the Cramer Comet was made from De Sotos,
Dodges, Oldsmobiles, Buicks, Studebakers, Cadillacs, Lincolns,
and Fords. Part of the tubular chassis is made up of four-inch
refrigerator tubing filled with coolant that runs to a rear-mounted
radiator. The engine is mounted in reverse and is heavily insulated.

It is expected to fetch about $300,000 at auction.

If by retro-futurism you mean a picture of the future that is highly unlikely, then here's one:

I like that the cars of the future from the 50s still had giant whitewalls on them.
Of course it's company policy never to, imply ownership in the event of a dildo... always use the indefinite article a dildo, never your dildo.

1938 Phantom Corsair. One of a kind, built on a Cord 810 chassis, and designed/financed by ketchup-heir Rust Heinz, as part of his project to produce limited copies for $12,000 each (Bugatti/Duesenberg money then). Heinz had one car completed, and was killed shortly after in a car wreck at age 21. VERY space-age for its time.

Do you enjoy old cars and long-winded stories about them? If your answer is "yes", then you might enjoy my blogpage. Try it here: http://vwlarry.blogspot.com . Leave a comment, too; I love feedback! Thanx for reading.

Any thoughts? I found this model in an antique store. It might be a students model but I'm not sure. When I first saw the model I thought the front end was the rear of the car. oops.
