I can't get enough of these beautiful dogs.

This is my boy, Commodus. He's the best dog I have ever been around. I love him to death.

    My baby girl and boy.

I haven't had a chance to get any recent pics of him, but he is a big boy. He's now 10 mo's old, and still is as gental as can be with my little girl. They are best friends.

Show off your best pit bull friend.

Here are some from January (8 weeks) to now (7 mos).

    Tyson's a very small APBT.

    Don't mind the pink toy!

    This is 2 weeks ago

Wish I had more, but I am at work so could only use what's on my Photobucket

I love the way these dogs look with their ears not cropped My buddy has 2 Pits and they are AWESOME dogs. Of all the Pits I have come across in my life, they have all been the most gentle loyal and obedient dogs, it truely is sad that they get such a bad rap

  8. 06-25-2008 11:56 AM #8
My Tyson has the cutest ears!!! They kinda stand up and then flop over.

Heres's my new little boy. His name is Gus. It will be a challenge to have to male, but I am willing to work with them and make it work out well. I will be bringing him home on the 12th of next month.

He's an Amstaff and is six weeks old today.

American pit bull + Stafford pit bull = Amstaff.

There are differences in bone structure and build.

There is no Stafford Pit Bull. There is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier and American Pit Bull Terrier.

I can't believe that the APBT isn't even recognized by the AKC.

I know. I was just trying to simplify what I was saying, but I guess misinforming is mot the way to go. My bad.

He looks like an Amstaff to me, what do you think?

It is really so hard to tell the difference these days. I've seen pure APBT's in ALL shapes and sizes, so I usually take what people tell me at face value. Like my Tyson is a teeny tiny little APBT (38 lbs at 7 mos) and I have a friend with a 100% pure breed APBT that is absolutely gigantic (90+ lbs).

Either way... That dog is beautiful. Perfect crop on the ears... Which is odd for me to say because I am usually into the uncropped look.

Your boy is a cute little guy. Sometimes I wish Commodus wasn't so big. He can get annoying with his big body and little puppy brain.

god I love the Pitbull breed. Its a shame how they got a bad rap.

here is my wife with my 6 month old boy Spike (and already 50lbs of solid muscle, hes going to be a big guy) and our 4 year old Pit/Lab mix Chico. look at how "vicioius" this breed is lol...ignorant people...these 2 dogs are the most loving dogs you will ever meet. GREAT companions and their best friend is my 5 yr old niece....

and just for the record, I think cropping a dogs ears is inhumane and completely wrong. to mangle a dogs ears to better appease your eyes...smh.

Only your opinion, but we will keep this age old debate out of this positive thread.

Good looking dogs, and yes they look very visious.
