Here's my little girl. She's now about 10 months. She actually loves "helping" me out in the garage, and especially riding in the truck.

Day I found her in a dumpster and rescued her.

Now. She's clocking in at 60lbs, a tick over 19" at the shoulder blades and perfectly healthy...and still growing like a weed.

      make shiny.
If crazy paid the bills.. I'd be freaking rich.

Here's Tyson this morning out in the tropical storm. He was trying to stay dry and not happy:

Here he is when we did a tour of the neighborhood to check out flooding during a break from rain:

Just got this one about two weeks ago. I found her in my neighborhood, no chip, pretty bad skin condition, she was chafing pretty bad under her arms and she had a rash all the way from her chest to her tail. Her name is Izzy, she's about 5 months and 30lbs.

Take good care of her...dogs that you save will never forget it and will spend the rest of their lives making it up to you! Mine was a rescue
and i thank god every day i stumbled across her, and she thanks god for the same thing every day too. ive had her for almost 5 years now and shes the best thing that ever happend to me

Yeah, I have a catahoula mix who I rescued and she is by far the best dog I have ever had. Izzy and I start puppy classes on Tuesday, I've never had a bully before and I never knew the extent of their hard-headedness. haha! I've learned a lot in these short two weeks. When she wants something she will stop at no end to get it. She is a puppy though, she's very intelligent and she's great with my cats, I just need to get her to pay more attention to when I tell her "No!".

quick question, not sure where I heard it..but I was told you shouldnt teach your dog to do that with a stick or a rope or any kind of pulling on an object because it promotes aggression and sooner or later they will use someones arm as their play toy ?? any truth to that ?

Well, I guess it would be better for him to pull on a stick or a rope than a piece of meat or something. He not like that with anything else but wood. He will stand under a tree for hours trying to find a way to get a branch down. If you hold one, he will get it out of your hand but I don't consider that aggressive. We have an 8 year old and a 4 year old and he is much nicer with sticks when they are playing with him. He doesn't so much get aggressive with the sticks, he is wagging his tail and throws them to himself. It's more of his rough way of playing.

There is alot of things that "experts" say you should do that is pretty much a joke.

oh definitely agree with that. I was watching a special on TV about when pets go crazy, and this lady was attacked by a Pitbull. she went on the news saying all pitbulls should be put to death and no one should own any because they are the dogs of the devil. what an ignorant bitch. She also went on to say that they are killer dogs and preprogrammed to attack and kill. the miseducation of some people puzzle me.

actually- its the exact OPPOSITE. these are working dogs- they need a job to do, and there is a good train of though- " a tired bulldog is a happy bulldog". give lots of excercise and you are more likely to have a very well rounded ( mentally AND physically) dog than the dog that lounges about- not getting any workouts, they are the ones who get frustrated, pent up.
i have always started working my dogs at around 4-5 months of age ( as soon as adult teeth are well set, and take it easy for first couple of weeks) and have yet in over 18 years had an aggresive dog ( and i have had match dogs and dogs down from direct match stock)

unfortunalty-yes, he is 100% blind. he has been that way since 5 months old, he was bashed in the head w/ a pipe because ( get ready for it...) he wasnt a good fighter. yes, these kids were trying to get their dogs to fight at 5 months of age
bu tthat was over 7 years ago. he gets around GREAT...so great that most people can only tell he is blind by his eyes ( he has learned how to actually RUN this year!)

oh whats up greg this is Jake from NH with the ginster. that is one insane story, and i hope you hit those people in the head with a pipe for being scum.

      any who
I was wondering if the over 75% white bullys having problems was true or a rumor. I heard mostly white(75% or more) bullys have sight and hearing problems. my pit is about half white and she is perfect, but Im thinking of getting another one and I am thinking either all white or blue. Any help on this would be appreciated.

I think it's pretty common for most white pits to have some type of hearing/sight issues. The dog trainer I go to has a white male pit who is deaf, when i showed her izzy (above) the first question out of her mouth was "is she deaf?".
I heard a lady talking at the dog park that they won't give her white boxer any papers because she has the recessive gene, which could produce more possible "tainted" pups.

hey jake! yeah-Blind Bean is from Fall River, if that tells you anything.

while im not sure of the exact %age, it is true that WHITE bulldogs are prone to deafness, the risk is even greater when combined w/ blue eyes.

there are tons of blues up your way in the program right now. when you are thinking of getting another dog-let me know and i will put you intouch w/ the right people
