My pup Zsa Zsa's new favorite toy --- a double ended angry bird that my 75 year old father said "looks like that belongs in some weird porno" She carried it around for about 2 hours at a dog event put on by the local shelter on Sunday

Your dog looks just like mine in that pic. I don't see many pits that are this color, and yours even has the same white markings on the chest.

These pics are from a couple weeks ago during the crazy heatwave up here in the northeast. 100 degrees in burlington, vt. She decided to give up and just played dead. no, she didn't have heatstroke or something. She does this when she just doesn't want to walk somewhere --- first she'll pull back against the harness, then she'll go stiff and flop over, then she'll just lay like she's deadweight! She'll do anything to get her way



As soon as I picked her up (and put my hat on her) she perked right back up I had to carry her like this for the rest of the day

I've seen some of your pics and always thought the same thing.
There's another Pit in here (see posts 1831 and 1835(mine) for comparison) that made me do a double take. When I first saw it I thought to myself "I don't remember taking that picture."

How old is yours? Ours is about 2.5yrs. We got her at the pound (born there) when she was about 4 months old. Quite the change of pace from the senior pit rescue we lost a few months earlier, but she's awesome. We adopted her from a place we were volunteering at and she was such an good dog. I got her paw pring tattood on my chest where she used to rest her head. Still miss her.

^^ too funny..we were recently dogsitting our friends 1yr old pit and she did the same thing...collapsed in someones yard and played dead to the world...but was fine once i had to carry her ass!!

So this is trixie. 18 month amstaff terrier .we've had her a week so far and shes been great outside of the two times shes run on me.once my daughter left the house door open and she bumped the storm door.the other happened tonight when attempting to take her for a walk.the leash clip let go.no fun chasing this dog around the neighborhood.

So far training has been going good.sitting, giving both paws and laying down on command.I just can't wait till she learns to stay lol

I was hesitant about the breed and the fact that we were adopting.all you hear are the horror stories but shes been the most lovable dog I've owned so far, and all my previous dogs were shepherds
