Yup will be up there for october first.. The first time I went up there was a sunday walking around trying to figure out where everyone was and all I saw was the 4 of them in the conference room and no person.. I was so confused then Matts wife comes around the corner, she was in there studying. They were all cool dogs.

Gotta agree with this. I hate to say it, but my dog "passes" as not being a pit and it's because of the media stereotypes. Everyone thinks they should be 100 pounds, aggressive looking, etc. I have a letter from my insurance company's evaluator saying there's no way she's a pit --- he wouldn't believe it and I wouldn't argue ("I'm sure she was mislabeled as a puppy at the pound" is what he told me). People don't believe me. They say she's too small, her head's not blocky enough, ears don't look right, weird color, etc, etc. I get puggle mix more than pit.

I correct them as often as possible, but it's sadly fortunate that I can easily lie about her. My wife and I are splitting up and I'm going to have to find an apt soon. The fact that I can say "35 pound shelter dog" and not be lying or "35 pound terrier thing" and hand a letter from my insurance company saying she's a "friendly terrier mix" is going to be critical in letting me take her with me when I move out.

To the guy on the previous page (to lazy to quote). ...

The 1st pic "Tiger" is a Dibo APBT. Dibo's are bred for their size (which started back in the 50's) Google it. . The "pointy ear" is Panda. Ears aren't cropped. She was still a pup in that pic. Ears were never cropped. Both dogs were my brothers. I can't say WTF Panda was but i know Tigers history very well. I had his Grand Uncle many yrs back. A good friend of the family has many many years in bringing the bloodline back. All are fawn or light brindle.

At the end of the day we all love our pups regardless what breed they are. I grew up with older brothers that were into show APBT. Something you don't see today. I dunno WTF are these pigmy dogs they're calling bullies nowadays. I've had a few mix breeds in my time.

Here's an old pic (about 17 yrs ago) of a PB that i miss greatly, Buck. (My brother named him. All his dogs were named after animals...Tiger....Panda...Goose...Buck). He's also Tiger's Grand Uncle.

    Damn...i was 20 in this pic. I wish i was 20 again.

On a brighter note, here's a great documentary on dogs. Please comment after watching it. There are somethings in it that confirmed what i already knew....

I was merely pointing something out, Tiger might of been bred for size but that still puts them out of proportion, which is one of the main faults for APBT, not doubting the full blood part. I know they can vary.

I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH YOU ON THE WHOLE BULLY NONSENSE. I got a cuz who breed them and some of his are actually nice but still not right in my eyes.

LOL and I bet you wish you still had those sweet boots.

    Exactly

And the more responsible owners the better for any pitbull-type dog. No need for people all trying to accomplish the same things to start disagreeing on silly things

I do like learning all I can on any type of lineage and history of the breed though

Just curious, when you pygmy dogs do you just mean smaller pits or razor's edge style that are starting to look more like English Bulldogs than pits?

YES!!! That is exactly what we are talking about, stupid short completely mis-proportioned dogs. I went to Germany in the service in 2008 and moved back in 2011, when I left Razor's Edge were big beautiful Pitbulls and when I came back they had shrunk to like half their original size. I was shocked bc I had one of the original Razor's Edge Pits, he was like 110-115 or so size wise and a little taller than your average pitbull and a head on him like cinder block, I had to leave him with a friend stateside when I moved to Germany, he had passed while I was over there. So I was going to get another one when I got back here but to my dismay I saw what they had become and was ashamed of it. They have taken a great breed and made them mis-proportioned and given them a "NEW" name along with crazy hip problems, numerous health issues and not too mention not being able to breed naturally bc they are too short to "hit" it.

You're talking about these guys....(THESE ARE ABSOLUTELY NOT PIT BULLS, THEY ARE A TOTALLY DIFFERENT BREED - They're called The American Bully)

Below is what is known as a Pocket Bully - extreme

Well you can complain to Ed Shepherd who's responsible for creating these Midget bullies.

Regardless of how you or anyone eles feels about them, theres a huge demand for them. Average price $2500-4000k and people are paying it

I know all about them, I got a cousin in TX who breeds them for like 3k+ a pup, doesnt change my opinion of them, they all have health issues out the wazoo, and he wasnt the only one who help introduce them. They are all MUTTS, truly and honestly mutts, you can trace all of their bloodlines back to a pit mixed with bulldogs and other smaller breeds, it's ridiculous. I remember when people paid that kinda money for REAL pits, they had to make up a name for them bc you cant register mixed breeds in any established more than 10yrs old Kennel Clubs, I think UKC and ADBA lets them in if they are ABKC already

Yeah I know its crazy, alot of these backyard rachet breeders are creating frankendog freaks for attention with no concern for its furture health, its really sad and too bad. For the record though I love Bullies personally more so than Pits so I'm not an active protester against them or some cut throat purist, I just hate when people breed dogs purely for superficial reasons. The dog loses everytime.

You pretty much nailed it on the head as to why I dont like them, they are breed for a look with isnt healthy, some of them are very nice, my cousins for example are actually not that over the top(or on the ground, I think that is more fitting, LOL) BARNONE KENNELS out of Corpus christi, TX. Too many people are ultimately hurting the dogs in the long run. But yea I do agree some of them are acutally super nice, like Beastro, he is by far the best out there. But for the most part it is craptastic abominations of a breed

I call my pit 'cat-dog' because she acts like a cat a lot. Climbs across the back of the sofa, jumps into your lap out of no where, purrs (yes, she legit purrs....I need video this sometime), etc. Today, she did this, which seemed very cat like to me:

Also, it was under 50 degrees, so don't need to hear about how the window was up

Pits are courageous dogs. Except when the wind is loud apparently.

I'm in Boston area, so we're starting to get the beginning of the bad wind for the hurricane. She put full force effort into not going out once she heard the wind

Utah (the grey one) has been really sick the last 24 hours, he may have meningitis. I never thought I could become so attached to a dog in only 6 months.
